Hurt.

Taehyung threw himself into his group's work, trying to distract himself from thoughts of Jennie and Kai. He spent long hours in the studio, perfecting his performances, and attending meetings with their management team.

But no matter how busy he was, Joy always seemed to find a way to reach him. She would text him constantly, asking him to meet up for dates, or to attend events together.

At first, Taehyung tried to be polite, agreeing to meet her occasionally. But as time went on, he started to feel suffocated by her constant requests. He didn't feel the same way about her, and he couldn't keep pretending.

"Joy, I'm busy with work right now," he would say, trying to brush her off.

But she wouldn't take no for an answer. "Just one hour, Tae! I promise I won't take up much of your time."

Taehyung felt his annoyance growing. Why couldn't she see that he wasn't interested?

One day, Joy asked him to meet her at a trendy cafe in Seoul. Taehyung agreed, but only because he didn't want to be rude.

As soon as he arrived, Joy started gushing about her latest shopping spree, barely letting him get a word in edgewise. Taehyung's mind started to wander, thinking about Jennie and Kai, and how much happier they seemed than he was.

"Joy, can I be honest with you?" he said finally, interrupting her monologue.

Joy's face lit up, expecting a romantic confession. But Taehyung's next words shocked her.

"I just..don't feel the same way. I think we should just be friends."

Joy's smile faltered, and she looked at Taehyung in disbelief. "What do you mean? I thought we had something special."

Taehyung sighed, feeling a pang of guilt. "I'm sorry, Joy. I know I led you on, but I couldn't help how I feel. You deserve someone who loves you with all their heart, and that's not me."

Joy's eyes welled up with tears, and she stood up, her voice shaking. "I thought you cared about me, Taehyung. But I guess I was wrong."

Taehyung stood up too, feeling a mix of emotions. He was relieved to have been honest, but he also felt bad for hurting Joy.

"Joy, please understand..."

But Joy just shook her head and walked away, leaving Taehyung feeling guilty and unsure of what to do next.

After coming back, taehyung couldn't shake off the feeling of regret when he watched Joy walk away. He thought about other night, when he had lent her his coat, and how everything had started from there. He wondered if he had made a mistake by helping her, if it had all been a waste of time.

Just then, his boss approached him, a concerned look on his face. "Taehyung, what's wrong? You seem distracted."

Taehyung sighed, rubbing his temples. "It's just...I don't know. I feel like I made a mistake."
