Jennie's eyes narrowed, her expression tightening. She felt a pang of jealousy, but tried to mask it with a neutral tone. "Good for you, Taehyung. You're finally moving on."

Taehyung's smile grew wider, sensing her unease. "Yeah, I am. And I have to say, Sophia is really into me. And I'm pretty into her too."

Jennie's grip on her hands tightened, her nails digging into her palms. She didn't want to hear this, didn't want to think about Taehyung with someone else. But she was trapped, unable to express her true feelings.

"That's great," she said, her voice strained. "I'm happy for you."

Taehyung's eyes glinted with amusement, knowing he had gotten under her skin. "Thanks, Jennie. I knew you'd be thrilled for me."

Jennie's eyes flashed with anger, but she bit back her retort. She couldn't reveal her true feelings, not now, not ever. She was stuck in this limbo, watching Taehyung move on with his life, while she was still stuck on him.

Taehyung, still trying to provoke Jennie, suggested, "Hey, let's go snorkeling together! I heard the waters around Jeju are amazing."

Jennie raised an eyebrow, her expression skeptical. "You want to snorkel with me? After everything you've done?"

Taehyung shrugged, his grin still plastered on his face. "Why not? I'm just trying to make the most of our trip. And who knows, maybe we'll have some fun together."

Jennie hesitated, unsure if she should trust him. But a part of her wanted to prove that she wasn't affected by his antics. "Fine," she said finally. "But don't expect me to enjoy it."

As they geared up and headed into the crystal-clear waters, Taehyung couldn't help but tease her, splashing water and making silly faces. Jennie tried to maintain her stoic expression, but found herself laughing despite herself.

For a brief moment, they forgot about their tensions and simply enjoyed the beauty of Jeju's underwater world together. But as they returned to shore, Jennie's guard went back up, and she reminded herself not to let her feelings get the better of her.

As they floated near the coral reef, Taehyung suddenly pointed to a nearby sea creature and shouted, "Jennie, look! An octopus!"

Jennie turned to see the octopus slithering towards her, its tentacles stretching out like ghostly fingers. She let out a terrified shriek and frantically tried to swim away, but Taehyung grabbed her arm, holding her in place.

"Taehyung, let me go! Oh my god, it's going to get me!" Jennie exclaimed, her voice panicked.

Taehyung burst out laughing, thinking it was the funniest thing he'd ever seen. "Jennie, it's harmless! It's just curious!"

But Jennie was beyond reason. She struggled to break free, her eyes fixed on the octopus in horror. Taehyung finally realized she was genuinely terrified and pulled her into his arms, holding her close.

"Hey, hey, it's okay! I've got you. It won't hurt you," Taehyung soothed, trying to calm her down.

Jennie buried her face in his chest, her body shaking with fear. Taehyung stroked her hair, feeling a pang of guilt for scaring her. He hadn't meant to terrify her that much.

As they floated there, Jennie's sobs slowly subsided, replaced by embarrassed sniffles. Taehyung smiled, relieved she was calming down.

"Sorry, Jennie. I didn't mean to scare you that much," Taehyung whispered, his lips close to her ear.

Jennie pulled back, her face red and puffy from crying. "You're such a jerk, Taehyung," she said, trying to sound angry but her voice still shaky.

Taehyung grinned, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "Hey, that's what friends are for, right?"
