The lights blazed bright as Blackpink took the stage, their confident smiles and sleek outfits commanding attention. Jennie, still reeling from her argument with Taehyung, put on a brave face, waving to the sea of fans.
As BTS emerged, the Army's screams reached a fever pitch. Taehyung, his eyes scanning the crowd, locked gazes with Jennie for a fleeting moment. The tension between them was palpable, but they both knew they had to put on a united front for the sake of their groups.
The camera panned across the stage, capturing the electric atmosphere. The members of Blackpink and BTS exchanged nods and smiles, their professionalism and respect for each other evident despite the underlying drama.
As the show began, the presenters took the stage, announcing the first award. Blackpink and BTS were both nominated, and the anticipation was building.
Then EXO took the stage, standing confidently in front of Blackpink, Taehyung's eyes narrowed. For no apparent reason, he felt a surge of annoyance and anger. Maybe it was the way Kai smiled smugly, or the way the EXO members seemed to be encroaching on Blackpink's space.
Taehyung's gaze drifted to Jennie, who was watching the scene unfold with a mixture of confusion and concern. He knew he was overreacting, but he couldn't help the feeling of possessiveness that had taken hold.
Jennie, sensing Taehyung's tension, shot him a calming glance. But Taehyung just looked away, his jaw clenched in frustration.
Taehyung's whispered "hajima" which was barely audible, but Kai's smirk suggested he'd caught the warning. Jennie, still looking down, seemed oblivious to the exchange.
The silence between the groups was awkward, with only the sound of the audience's murmurs filling the space. Blackpink and BTS stood frozen, their usual camaraderie replaced by an uncomfortable atmosphere.
Kai's gaze lingered on Jennie, his eyes glinting with amusement. Taehyung's warning had only seemed to entertain him, and he appeared to be savoring the tension.
Jennie, sensing the strain, fidgeted with her hands, her head still hung low. She knew she had to navigate this delicate situation carefully, but her emotions were in turmoil.
The host, sensing the awkwardness, hastily intervened, "And now, let's move on to the next award! Please welcome the nominees for Best Choreography..."
The camera cut to the nominees' video montage, but the tension on stage remained. Taehyung's eyes never left Jennie, his expression a mix of warning and concern. Kai, still smirking, seemed to be enjoying the drama.
Jennie, trying to compose herself, took a deep breath and glanced at Taehyung. Their eyes met for a brief moment, and Taehyung's gaze softened, his concern for her evident.
As the host announced the final award, Taehyung's eyes remained fixed on Jennie, his expression a mix of disappointment and frustration. He felt she was still being naive and blind to Kai's true intentions.
