Xinyu POV

"PARK SOHYUN!!!" what was the first thing I got? Sohyun threw a pillow at my head. I wanted to ask what she sent me this morning, but it seemed like she already knew that I would ask that. Her face turned red.

"Why did you send that this morning?"

"Ning – Ning told me to"

"Do you understand?" she shook her head but still hid her face.

"I didn't understand at first. But after I found out, i understand it" I sat down next to her while checking her fever.

"After you found out, you didn't unsend?" she shook her head and leaned her head on my shoulder.

"Why?"

"Why not. It's cute too" she said with her red face.

"I really want to kiss you. You are so fricking cute" she immediately pushed me until I fell off the bed.

"will you take a shower first?"

"Yes, Madam, yes"

I had time to tidy up some of my belongings before finally going to take a shower. Sohyun asked what happened in class so I just told her what happened in class. Starting from Seoyeon who was looking for her, Chaeyeon, Nien, and Dahyun who were curious about the new lights in the class by sticking their heads through the gaps in the lights, Yeonji and Soomin who were annoying each other, Lynn who kept telling Joo Bin about Nakyung, and others.

"Don't you told them about me?" she asked after I finished taking a shower. She was still comfortably lying on my bed while continuing to hug my doll.

"No. I'll be dead if they find out you're in my home. From what I know from them, you never told them your home address," I said while turning on my laptop and managed to get her attention.

"What are you doing? making the assignment?"

"Watching"

"i want to join" I just nodded while extending my hand towards her which clearly made her not understand.

"What are you doing?"

"Getting snacks. Want to come along too?" she nodded and grabbed my hand. Before I could pull it, she pulled me first until I finally fell on top of her. She just chuckled while hugging me quite tightly.

"I'm going to get snacks" she just shook her head. I don't know what I was thinking, but I stroked her head and managed to hear her chuckle again.

"don't"

"Don't what?"

"Getting snacks"

"But I want to watch" she just made the weird sounds she usually made. It was cute and I admitted it.

I don't know since when she started acting funny and often sticking like this. It was like she wasn't the Sohyun I knew.

"Who are you?"

"I'm Park Sohyun"

"Why are you so clingy?" she chuckled as she pinched my cheek gently.

"I'm like this. It's never been seen because I protect myself too much. But now I dare to show my clingy side. Because I trust you"

"Maybe I really like you"

I wanted to say something but someone knocked on the door of the room until I finally stood back up. Same with Sohyun who was now sitting down while hugging my doll.

"Can I come in?"

"Just come in" and showed Handong with some medicine.

"Xinyu, you haven't eaten yet, right? Eat first" she said calmly while giving a sign that Handong wanted to talk to Sohyun and I think I knew what they were going to talk about.

"I'll eat for a minute, okay?"

Sohyun POV

"aaaa" I said in a small tone that managed to attract Handong's attention who was looking at me with a strange look.

"I'll just eat for a bit" she said as he left me with Handong. I was indeed quite close to Xinyu and Ning-Ning. But not with Handong, I just felt a little awkward.

"How do you feel?" she asked while giving me the medicine that I thought I needed. I gladly accepted it and drank it right away.

"I feel better now"

"Good. But that's not what I want to ask"

"What is that"

"Are your parents members of Oleander?" my whole body shuddered hearing the name of the Illegal gang that my mother was a part of. Even though my mother was only a dealer, her position was also quite important. I didn't tell anyone about this Oleander and how did Handong know? I can be sure that now my pupils are shaking a lot because I'm afraid that something will happen to me, just like what happened to my father.

"Why are you asking that"

"You know Xinyu can open locks with hairpins, right? And also the fact that Xinyu and Ning-Ning found you in the basement with the door right behind the closet. You know, there's another closet in your house" The closet that my mother used to torture me?

"I don't understand what you mean" Handong sighed and gave a photo of a family that looked wrong with a small child in front holding a plant.

"The plant that the child is holding, is called Foxglove. It does look pretty, but it's quite deadly. The last time this scent was found was 8 years ago. The child's parents developed it into an illegal drug. After that, the scent was never found again until it finally appeared again this year. Do you know where we found it?" We?

"Where?"

Handong pointed at me which of course made me panic a little.

"You. Your family member is the successor who was not found 8 years ago. It turns out you are the one who revived Oleander again" I really didn't understand what he was talking about. Oleander? Foxglove? My family? What does that mean?

"My father too?"

"Your father too. More precisely, he was the one who resurrected, 7 years ago until he finally died 5 years ago"

"But my father died of illness"

"Consuming too much Foxglove" Handong's explanation made me nauseous until I finally left her. I left the house. I ignored Xinyu's call and kept running in an uncertain direction.

I knew my father did die of illness, but I never knew what the illness was. I knew my mother joined this illegal gang, but I never knew that what she circulated was the reason why my father died.

"YET ALL THIS TIME, FATHER HAS BEEN VERY GOOD!" I couldn't believe that my father was the leader and mastermind behind the misery I had felt for years. I always believed that my father was a good person but it turned out he wasn't.

I could feel that my legs were tired enough and the tightness that attacked my lungs. I stopped, I didn't know where I was. This dark situation didn't scare me more than my fear of finding out the facts about my family. I cried uncontrollably. Just like at my father's funeral. But this time it was not covered in sadness, but covered in disappointment.

"even though I believed it"
