Everyone was stunned at the sight.

  What was going on?

She vomited after drinking beef porridge, but not after drinking plain congee?

After feeding the old woman the porridge in the bowl, Ning handed the bowl to Liu and left the room.

"Bro, what... what's going on here?" Liu asked curiously.

  Ning shook his head.

"It's complicated. We'll talk about it later... Right, where's Yamo?"

As he asked, everyone realized that Yamo, who had run downstairs in fear earlier, had disappeared!

  "Yamo!"

  Liu shouted loudly.

But there was no response from the villa, only an eerie silence.

A sense of foreboding filled everyone's hearts.

They searched for Yamo all over the downstairs.

He had a hunch and squatted down to rummage through the shoe rack.

"Brother, what are you looking for?"

  Liu trotted over.

  Ning narrowed his eyes.

  "There are no men's shoes."

  Liu:

  "Ah?"

  Ning's mind raced.

Even he didn't realize why his mind was... so sharp.

"The villa owner mentioned earlier that her husband is away on work."

"But there are no men's shoes in this house!"

  Liu's body stiffened.

  "Bro, you mean..."

A sharp glint appeared in Ning's eyes:

  "There are two possibilities."

"First, her husband moved out for some reason..."

"Second, she doesn't have a husband."

  Liu frowned.

  "She doesn't have a husband?"

  "But how? Then, her daughter..."

Before he finished speaking, Ning looked at him and slowly asked a question that made Liu's scalp tingle:
