Five people emerged from the room and headed towards the village entrance, led by Ning.

He deliberately kept his pace measured.

Ning knew that the terrifying blood rain had placed an immense psychological burden on them.

Under such pressure, if he, as their leader, were to flee in panic, it would only cause more chaos and potentially lead to an uncontrollable situation.

As the leader, he had to maintain his composure, moving swiftly yet calmly!

Without the protection over their eyes gifted by the female ghost, they were now forced to shield their faces with their hands, desperately trying to block the viscous blood rain so they could see the path ahead.

As they reached the main road through the village center, Liu suddenly cried out, "Damn it!"

Following his exclamation, the others quickly noticed something amiss in the village.

The corpses hanging from the doorways, which were supposed to be uniformly facing the village entrance, had somehow turned.

Now, with hollow smiles etched on their faces, they stared fixedly at the five people on the road!

  This sight nearly broke Fang.

She screamed, clutched her head, and fled in a random direction...

The blood rain was torrential, accompanied by a faint mist that obscured their vision.

Ning relied mostly on memory to guide them towards the village entrance.

When Fang broke down, Ning had tried to grab her, but failed.

Bai hadn't been able to hold onto her either.

"Fang!" the bespectacled man yelled, attempting to chase after her, but Liu quickly stopped him.

  "Get a grip!"

"We can barely protect ourselves now, we can't save her!"

"We need to get to the village entrance! Now!"

The bespectacled man, held back by Liu, felt a pang of guilt.

Although he hadn't known Fang prior, since they'd teamed up, her courage and sense had earned his respect.

He desperately wanted to save this brave and sensible girl, to prevent her from dying within this Blood Gate.

But, as fate would have it, tragedy often strikes unexpectedly.

Just as they neared the break of dawn, Fang, the girl who had journeyed with them, fell prey to the darkness behind...

She hadn't run far before a bloodcurdling scream pierced the air.

Through the curtain of pouring blood, they could only make out a fleeting shadow.

They all knew that shadow belonged to Guang Xiu!

"Run!" Ning roared, identifying the village entrance and sprinting towards it!

The others followed closely, but no matter how fast they ran, they couldn't shake off the terrifying shadow behind them!

Guang Xiu seemed stationary, yet within the blood-soaked mist, its figure drew closer and closer!

  "Something's wrong!" Bai suddenly shouted.

  "Stop! Everyone, stop!"

At her command, they all stopped in their tracks.

Their trust in Bai was absolute.
