Saturday morning arrived with a crisp, invigorating air that hinted at the excitement to come. Mia was already awake and buzzing with anticipation as she texted her friends. Today was a big day-Jace had invited her, along with Anna and Jenna, to watch his basketball game. It was one of the most important matches of the season, and Mia couldn't wait to cheer him on from the sidelines.

Anna and Jenna were just as eager, especially after learning that Jace's two closest best friends, Lorian and Katty, would also be joining them. They had met briefly before, but today would be the first time they all spent time together.

[EVERRIDGE - GYMNASIUM - DAY]

By the time Mia, Anna, and Jenna arrived at the school gymnasium, the place was already packed with all of the students, all waiting for the game to begin. The atmosphere was electric, with cheers and shouts echoing off the walls. Mia scanned the crowd and quickly spotted Lorian and Katty near the front row, saving seats for them.

JENNA
(pointing out the girls) "There they are! Tara, let's sit with them."

Mia nodded, a smile spreading across her face as they made their way through the crowd. When they reached the seats, Lorian and Katty greeted them with warm smiles and tight hugs.

LORIAN
"I'm so glad you could make it! Jace is going to be so happy to see you here, Mia."

Mia blushed slightly, feeling a flutter of excitement in her chest.

MIA
"I wouldn't miss it for the world."

As they settled into their seats, the game began. The players took to the court, and the crowd erupted into cheers. Mia's eyes were instantly drawn to Jace, who looked confident and focused as he led his team. His tall, athletic figure moved gracefully across the court, commanding attention with every step.

MIA
(shouted) "Go, Love!"

Her voice blending with the cheers of the crowd. She could feel her heart pounding in time with the dribble of the basketball as she watched him play.

The game was intense from the start, with both teams fighting hard for every point. Jace was in top form, scoring basket after basket and making impressive passes that kept the crowd on their feet. Mia couldn't help but feel a swell of pride as she watched him play. This was the Jace she had come to know-the determined, talented, and driven young man who put his heart into everything he did.

Beside her, Anna, Jenna, Lorian, and Katty were equally caught up in the excitement. They cheered loudly with every point Jace's team scored, their voices joining the chorus of support that filled the gymnasium.

As the game progressed, the tension in the air grew. The score was close, and it was clear that the outcome would be decided in the final minutes. Mia found herself gripping the edge of her seat, her heart racing as the clock ticked down.

And then, with just seconds left on the clock, Jace made a daring move. He dribbled past two defenders, leaped into the air, and took the shot. The ball sailed through the air in what felt like slow motion, and then-swish-it went through the hoop.

The crowd erupted in cheers as the buzzer sounded, signaling the end of the game. Jace's team had won by just one point, and the gymnasium was filled with the sound of celebration.

Mia jumped to her feet, clapping and cheering as loudly as she could. Jace's eyes scanned the crowd, and when they met hers, his face lit up with a wide, triumphant smile. He raised his hand in a wave, and Mia waved back, her heart soaring.

JENNA
"That was incredible! Ibang tao boyfriend mo pag na sa court, grabe!"

Mia smiles with a blushing cheeks. Anna and Lorian were just as thrilled, already pushing Mia to meet up with Jace and the rest of the team to celebrate.

KATTY
"Tara! We should congratulate him and the team."

Katty leading the way toward the court. Mia followed, still riding the high of the game. As they reached the court, Jace was surrounded by his teammates, all of them basking in the victory. But as soon as he saw Mia and her friends approaching, he broke away from the group and walked straight toward her.

He greeted her with a warm smile, his face still flushed from the game.

JACE
"Hi, Love! I'm so glad you could make it. And you brought Anna and Jenna, too!"

MIA
(beaming at him) "Of course we came! You were amazing out there, Love. We're so proud of you."

He chuckled, rubbing his nape modestly.

JACE
"Thanks, but it was a team effort. I'm just glad we won."

Lorian and Katty gave Jace high-fives, congratulating him on the win. After a few minutes of celebrating, Katty turned to the group with an idea.

KATTY
"Since andito naman tayong lahat and it's still early, why don't we head to the mall? We can grab something to eat, do a little shopping, and catch a movie."

ANNA
"Great idea! It's the perfect way to celebrate."

Lorian noticed that Aiden wasn't with them, so she immediately asked Jace to call him so they could be complete.

The atmosphere was lively as they walked together, chatting and laughing about the game and making plans for the rest of the day.

[NEON HAVEN MALL - DAY]

The mall was bustling with activity, and the group decided to start with a late lunch at the food court. They found a table large enough for all of them and ordered a variety of dishes to share. As they ate, the conversation flowed easily, with everyone getting to know each other better.

Mia couldn't help but feel a sense of belonging as she sat with the group, enjoying the lively banter and the easy camaraderie. It was clear that Jace's friends genuinely liked her, and she felt the same way about them.

After lunch, they wandered through the mall, stopping at various stores to browse and shop. Jace stayed close to Mia, offering his opinion on the clothes she tried on and making her laugh with his playful commentary. Mia felt like she was floating on air, completely at ease in his presence.

As they made their way through the stores, Jace suggested they all watch a movie together to round out the day. Everyone agreed, and they soon found themselves in the cinema, settling into their seats with popcorn and drinks.

The movie was a light-hearted comedy, perfect for the mood they were all in. Mia found herself laughing along with the others, her hand resting comfortably in Jace's. As the credits rolled, she couldn't remember the last time she had felt so happy and content.

As the day came to an end and they all headed home, Mia reflected on the time she had spent with Jace and their friends. It had been a day filled with laughter, excitement, and a deepening bond with the people around her.

She knew that this was just the beginning of many more memories to come, and she couldn't wait to see where the journey would take them.
