Kajo quickly pushed Saji to the side as the tiger leaped at them, its claws outstretched.
But before it could attack a second time, Kajo smiled and raised his hand, sending a burst of energy out, shutting down the tiger's entire body system. The tiger fell limp to the ground, its body motionless.
Saji rushed to Kajo's side, concern etched on his face. "Kajo, are you okay? That was close!" He quickly pulled out a healing potion and tried to hand it to Kajo.
Kajo laughed, pushing the potion away. "I'm a healer, for crying out loud! I don't need a healing potion." He grinned. "But an MP potion would be great, thanks."
Saji chuckled, relieved, and handed Kajo an MP potion instead. "Sorry, I forgot. You're like a walking immortal."
Kajo downed the potion, feeling his mana replenish. "Thanks, Saji. I owe you one."
Saji smiled. "No problem, happy to help. But what did you just do to that tiger?"
Kajo shrugged. "Just shut down its system. It's not dead, just... paused."
Saji's eyes widened. "That's insane! I've never seen anyone do that before."
Kajo grinned. "Yeah, well, I'm full of surprises. Aren't I?"
Kajo stored the toothed rainbow tiger in his inventory, where it would remain in a state of suspended animation, unaffected by the passage of time. "I'll give it to any of the beast tamers when we return," he said, grinning.
Saji nodded, and they both focused their senses, scanning their surroundings for any other energy readings. After a few moments, Kajo's eyes lit up. "I've got something! Not too far away."
They tied their horses to a nearby tree and continued on foot, their senses on high alert. As they walked, Saji couldn't keep his curiosity to himself anymore. "Hey, Kajo? Can I ask you something?"
Kajo raised an eyebrow. "What is it?"
Saji hesitated, then blurted out, "Do you like anyone? I mean, romantically?"
Kajo's expression didn't change, but Saji noticed a faint flush rise to his cheeks. "Why do you ask?" Kajo replied, his voice neutral.
Saji shrugged. "I'm just curious, okay? Especially after that hug with Eirek and the supposed dinner date..."
Kajo chuckled, his flush deepening. "Saji, you're really nosy, you know that?"
Saji grinned. "Hey, someone's got to keep you on your toes!"
Kajo shook his head, laughing. "I'll never tell."
Saji pouted, but his eyes sparkled with amusement. "Fine, be that way. But I'm watching you, Kajo!"
_
As they approached the location, they spotted a magnificent water elemental horse, its coat shimmering with a mesmerizing aqua glow. But before they could even marvel at its beauty, five figures giving off powerful auras suddenly materialized out of thin air, sending the horse fleeing in terror.
The men were clad in red armor, adorned with a fire emblem that seemed to burn with an inner intensity. They moved in a way that spoke of highly trained warriors.
Kajo and Saji exchanged a concerned glance, then crouched down, hiding from sight. "What are they doing here?" Kajo whispered, his eyes fixed on the men.
Saji's brow furrowed. "I don't know, but their auras are powerful. They're not regular hunters."
Kajo's grip on his sword tightened. "And that fire emblem on their armor..they must be from a fire related organization or kingdom. it means they're here for one thing: our village."
Saji's eyes widened. "Our village? But why?"
Kajo's expression turned grim. "I don't know, but we need to get back to our horses and warn everyone. Now."
Without another word, they hurried back to their horses, their senses on high alert for any sign of danger. The men in red armor seemed to be searching for something - or someone. And Kajo had a terrible feeling that his father was their target.
.....
As they walked, their physical attributes became more apparent. The red hair fire elemental had skin like molten lava, due to his unique talent 'Lava form' which was always active. while the air around the second fire elemental rippled with heat due to his unique talent 'Fiery aura'. The fire mage's eyes burned with inner flames, and the fire archer's bow seemed to be made of pure fire. The fifth man, the warrior and leader, wore a twisted grin on his face.
"I'm telling you, teleportation feels weird," one of them said, the fire elemental with flames dancing in his hair. "I could feel a Clerics aura close by."
The second fire elemental nodded in agreement. "I felt it too. It's like the Kings personal Healers aura is being echoed here."
The fire mage, her eyes gleaming with intensity, spoke up. "I can sense it too. It's a strong healing aura, but it can't be his. It's someone else's entirely. Maybe another healer."
"do you think it is another Fallen? How did they get their hands on one?" The warrior asked a bit confused
The fire elemental archer, his bow slung over his shoulder, grinned. "Well, whoever it is, is gonna be our target once we're done . Let's move out."
Their conversation was laced with an undercurrent of malice, and their eyes gleamed with an unholy light. They were on a mission of destruction afterall.
"If we take the healer back with us to be our king's personal slave, we'll be favored," the leader said, his voice dripping with evil intent. "And with two targets, our chances of success are doubled."
The others nodded, their faces twisted with cruel smiles. They followed the energy readings, their senses leading them deeper into the forest. Unbeknownst to them, Kajo and Saji were watching from the shadows, their hearts racing with concern.
....Kajo and Saji hid in the woods, their life forces concealed by Kajo's powers. They watched as the men zoomed past, their faces set with determination.
"We'll never make it in time," Saji whispered, his eyes wide with worry.
Kajo nodded grimly. "Even if we did, we're too weak to help. We need to get stronger, fast."
Saji's eyes locked onto Kajo's. "The dungeons. It could help."
Kajo hesitated for a moment before nodding. "It's a C-rank dungeon. But I don't know what type of monsters spawn in it."
Saji's face set in determination. "Let's do it. We have to get stronger."
Without another word, they turned and sped towards the hills, where the dungeon portal swirled.
_
10 minutes later....
As they approached the portal, Kajo felt a surge of fear. "Saji, are you sure? We could die in there."
Saji's eyes flashed with determination. "We have to try, Kajo. We can't just sit here and do nothing."
Kajo took a deep breath and nodded. "Let's do it."
Together, they jumped into the portal, leaving their safety behind.
his hand on the hilt of his sword
They had forgotten about the fact that Kajo may also be in danger.
