The next morning, Kajo ventured into the bustling marketplace, his extra loot in tow. As the son of the town's Overlord, he was accustomed to the respectful nods and greetings from the merchants and townspeople."Morning, Young Master Kajo!" a fruit vendor called out.
"Good morning!" Kajo replied with a smile.
The marketplace was alive with activity. Normal citizens and adventurers walked about, selling their wares. Stalls offered an array of goods: fresh produce, crafted armor, magical potions, and rare artifacts.
Kajo approached Gorvoth's forge, a prominent stall in the market. The C-rank Common Grade Talent Forge Master looked up from his work.
"Ah, Kajo! What brings you here today?" Gorvoth asked, his bushy beard fluttering in the breeze.
"I've got some goods to sell," Kajo said, unfolding the cloth wrapping his loot. "Rat hides, metal claws, steel fangs, steel swords, and leather armors. All from the Rat King's lair."
Gorvoth's eyes widened. "Fine quality! I'll give you 500 mana crystals for the lot."
"Make it 600, Gorvoth," Kajo negotiated with a smile. "I know the value of these goods."
Gorvoth chuckled. "You drive a hard bargain, Young Master. 550, and that's my final offer."
Kajo nodded. "Deal!"
As they exchanged goods for mana crystals, Gorvoth inquired, "Heard you begun your dungeon raids and it was in the rat dungeon. That's impressive, especially due to your class."
"Thanks for the kind compliment sir Gorvoth," Kajo said. "My healing abilities are even more powerful in combat style."
"And your aura feels more confident. You leveled up already!" He asked surprised.
I just nodded with a smile.
He mutters under his breath about young generations and cheatings making me chuckle.
A nearby merchant approached. "Excuse me young master, i am Althor and I'm an Alchemist. I have a rare potion that might interest you."
He hands over a Purple glowing vial to Kajo with a bow
Kajo examined the potion. "A Restoration Tonic? How much?"
"200 mana crystals," Althor replied.
"Expensive," Kajo noted, "but I'll take it."
As Kajo completed his transactions, the market's activity continued around him. Adventurers shared tales of conquests, while townspeople haggled over prices.
With his business concluded, Kajo left the market, his pouch filled with 600 additional mana crystals.
He returned home, deciding to spend the day relaxing since his dad wouldn't be back until tomorrow. There were no casualties in the shelter needing his healing touch, so he had no reason to visit the healing house.
As he laid down on his bed, his thoughts drifted to Saji. He considered visiting, but the thought about how they've been to each other stopped him.
He had a thought on his mind; when has he ever gone to visit him He really had something going on with him.
Just as Kajo began to drift off to sleep, the doorbell rang.
He groaned in confusion and walked downstairs, curiosity etched on his face, and opened the door.
Eirak stood before him, wearing a captivating smile and holding a rose.
