In the town hall, the meeting was intense."We need to reach out to the outside world," A warrior in the council urged. "We can't stay hidden forever."
Thorne and Grom refused, their faces set in stone. "It doesn't work that way," Thorne growled. "A fugitive is always a fugitive. If anyone wants to leave, they can. But they're not to mention anything about this town to anyone."
"But think of the benefits," another council member countered. "We could trade, form alliances... it could be a new era for our town."
Grom shook his head. "We've seen what happens when outsiders come in. They bring trouble. We can't risk it."
Thorne nodded in agreement. "We've built a good life here. Let's not jeopardize it."
The debate continued, with some council members arguing for reaching out to the outside world, while others supported Thorne and Grom's stance.
Just as it seemed like the discussion was reaching a boiling point, a loud bell tolled, echoing through the hall. An alarm blared, and everyone sprang into action, changing into fighting gear and grasping their weapons.
"What's going on?" one of the council members asked, fear creeping into his voice.
Thorne's face turned deadly. "We have visitors," he snarled. " i can sense five familiar auras, approaching from a distance."
Grom's eyes narrowed. "Get the hunters ready. We'll show them the meaning of 'fugitives'."
The council members scrambled to prepare for battle, their faces set with determination. Thorne and Grom stood at the forefront, their eyes fixed on the entrance, ready to protect their town.
.....The five figures reached the gates, and their eyes widened in surprise as they saw Thorne and his people standing outside.
"Well, well, well," one of them sneered. "Look what we have here. The great Thorne, who betrayed his own people."
Thorne's eyes narrowed. "You're not welcome here. Leave now, and don't come back."
The leader of the five figures chuckled. "Oh, we're not going anywhere. We've come for you, Thorne. You're a hard man to find."
Thorne snarled. "You'll not leave here alive."
The five figures laughed, their eyes gleaming with amusement. "You're no match for us, Thorne. We're five AA-ranked individuals. You have three AA-ranked individuals in this town, including yourself. The rest are A-ranked and below. This is child's play."
Thorne's face twisted in rage. "You'll never take me alive."
The warrior smiled. "Oh, we're not here to take you alive. We're here to end you. And as for the rest of you, we suggest you stay out of this. This doesn't concern you."
Thorne's eyes flashed with anger. "This is my town, and these are my people. You hurt one, you hurt all."
The five figures exchanged surprised glances. "You really do have a town? How quaint. This makes things even better. We'll just burn everything to the ground."
The fire mage asked, "Is there a cleric here? We want him too. Maybe we'll spare your lives if you hand him over."
Thorne's face turned cold. "You'll never get my son."
With a fierce cry, Thorne leaped into the air, his body transforming into a figure of flames. "Protect the boys! Get them and every kid, elderly and non combatants far away from the town!"
