" Sir, there is a woman who insists on meeting you. " Arnav says pushing the door open to my office.

" Who is she," I ask not looking up from the computer.

" She is not telling her name but she insisted that you know her. I told her you don't meet without a prior appointment." He says.

" Then tell her to come after making an appointment. " He says. It's not the first time after a party, a rich woman came for a short meeting.

" And said you will regret if you don't meet her." He adds.

I switch on the live feed of the waiting area in the lobby. I don't have any idea who that woman can be. I zoom in to see the face.

It's Aarna.

" Send her up," I say without giving a second thought.

I look at her again. It's been years since I last met her. I don't know why she suddenly decided to meet me on her own.

While Meera is acting strangely. Sometimes, she is too defensive, while the other, she just tests her guard down. The first time when I asked her to date in school she was not difficult at all.

She agreed but now it feels like she has just set her mind on that she doesn't want to date me.

The door swings open as Arnav lets her in.

She looks at me through her glasses. Not taking a step in my direction.

" Have a seat," I say standing up and sitting on the couch in my office.

" What brings you here?" I ask when she sits down opposite of me.

" Heard you have agreed to marry my best friend. " She says intervening her fingers in her lap.

I should have known they both must still be friends.

" Yes. I presume Meera must have told you?" I ask.

" Kind of. She said you want to marry her. But I didn't know you would be at her home agreeing to marry her to her mother. " She says with a brief smile.

" You aren't here to ask about my plans with your best friend. So tell me, Aarna, what are you doing here?" I ask running low on patience because I know she came for Meera.

" I think she is giving you a difficult time. I read the tabloid yesterday. She was Mr Rao's date." She says.

" Her mother told mine that Mr Rao is just a family friend of theirs. And I know she is just not using her brain and making decisions hastily." To push me away. I don't say the last words.

" Hope you aren't offended by her actions. She is trying to push you away. " She says meekly.

" I know that, but I don't know why," I say, placing my elbows on my knees and intervening with my fingers.
