Dear Gentle Readers
Happy Reading
I take a seat on the couch with my laptop in hand. While she was peacefully sleeping, I did most of my work and other important tasks that needed my attention in my secret room that she was unaware of.
After half an hour, she comes back from doing her chores and takes a seat on the bed.
I shouldn't have embarrassed her, but I didn't have any option. This was something she had to do. If I had done, she would have thought of me as a creep. Then I can't even blame her.
" As I told earlier you won't fit on that lounge. " She says taking a seat on the edge of my bed. Like she can run away any second. It's probably the first chance she gets.
" You can say directly that you want to share the bed with me," I say a smile spreading on my lips.
She is back in her shell. And I love nothing more than to get such reactions from her.
Her lips part, and a small gasp leaves her before she closes her lips in a thin line.
" It's not like I am dying to get you in my bed. But it's not mine. It's your bed and it doesn't feel right that you will sleep on that lounge when you can't even lay down without your legs hanging in the air. And why do I sleep on the bed when I won't even sleep? " She says slipping back into her mask.
I have known her quite well. But there are a lot of times when I have seen emotions in her eyes that didn't belong there. Guilt, fear and so many that shouldn't be swimming in her eyes. That's the point when I don't know how to reply or what to do.
Am I missing something?
So I just follow my instincts. I keep the laptop aside and walk to her when she sits timidly on the bed. Her gaze scans me trying to figure out what I am up to. I tilt her chin up before tracing her bottom lip. Plum and soft under my thumb and I want to kiss her all over again.
" Firstly everything in this room is yours as much as it is mine. So never you will say that it's yours and all that crap. Jo Mera hai vo aapka hai. Understand. " I whisper in my authoritative tone. That makes her blink her eyes.
( What's mine is yours)
" But we aren't married. " She whispers.
I know we aren't, and if it was up to me, we would have been married by now. She doesn't know I have already made sure that she isn't stopped from getting into any of our family properties or offices. Her name is added to every visiting list. Even to the rooms where only a few selected people are allowed.
" That doesn't make a difference. You are mine and all this is yours. " I whisper.
" And you will be sleeping because that's what we are supposed to do at night unless you have other plans," I ask all while her eyes don't leave mine.
