"This is the ticket for tomorrow's match," I say keeping the ticket I got for free on the table.
She raises her eyebrows. " I don't watch football. " She says keeping down her book.
" Lier. I saw you yesterday watching me practice. " I say not able to control my smile.
" Vo..." She hesitates. Even though we have been dating for the last month since her birthday. She has lowered her guard too fast than I ever expected. Especially after I got to know about her family dynamics.
Trusting a man isn't easy for her. Seeing her mother must have done irreversible damage that she also doesn't want to acknowledge.
" Yes. Why won't she come? " Aarna says taking the ticket smiling. " Thanks for this. I thought I had to remind you." She says.
I wanted to buy one for her but the rest will be sold yesterday before the match.
" What will I do without her," Meera says and Aarna glares at her.
" Watch the game. What else. " Aarna says.
Meera gets up with the book and disappears behind the shelf.
" What are you looking at now, Go. It's not I don't know anything and you both still tip-toe around Me. " She says huffing the latter to herself.
Of course, she knows everything, they are roommates and best friends. I smile at her knowingly and walk where my girlfriend went.
I see her trying to keep a book back on the shelf then begins looking for the stool. Her skirt riding up every time she make an effort to put the book.
" Need some help," I say standing behind her making her turn swiftly.
" Shh. Don't you know the entire class is sitting here?" She whispered yell at Me.
" Yes. I know that. " I say, Mrs Chatterhjee is on leave so here we all are in the library. " But no one saw me," I whisper back.
" You are quite hard to miss. I can't believe no one saw you." She says keeping her hand on my chest to push me.
" Oh, I am wounded. " I say turning her towards the shelf and holding her waist to pick her up.
