" Where were you? " I ask Meera. I looked for her but she wasn't in the living room.
" Just went out to breathe some fresh air. " She says coming by my side.
Even if I try I can't take my eyes off her. She looks beautiful, enchanting and every word I could think of or have known to mankind used to describe beauty.
With just a kiss or even a smile, we share she leaves me burning for more. Endless sleepless nights but exhilarating at the same time.
" Is everything all right? " She asks.
" Why won't it be," I say smiling
"No, you were looking at Me. " She says, the smile breaks free. Before I could give her a cheesy remark that would force her to bestow one of her rare smiles I heard someone call out my name.
" Madhav !" I turn around at the familiar voice.
" What happened? " I ask looking at Akshay's puzzled face.
" Vo... I think you should come and see." He says with hesitation.
" Just tell me damn it," I say rounding the sofa to come in front of him.
What could possibly go wrong?
" There was a paper on Maya's back. And .... Krish smacked her. Though it was nothing serious...... now it is. " I understand half of the gibberish he was speaking.
With a few quick strides and Meera's presence behind me, I reach the living room. Tears streaming down Maya's face.
" What happened? " I ask. She hand me the paper not looking me in the eye. I read what's written on the paper.
" Smack Me." I read aloud.
" Who did this? " I say loud enough for everyone to hear even in the loud music. Whatever happened shouldn't have happened. Even if someone put this on her back Krish should have paid any heed to it. I head his collar demanding an immediate apology right now.
Anger boils in me. No one disrespects or does such kind of stunt in my house, especially to my friend.
" It's not my problem I thought it was a game and all. So I just.. " Krish words trails off. I don't know how to tackle this situation.
" We would like you to leave immediately. " Veer says filling up the space and pushing both of us aside.
" Won't you say anything to your friend who did this," Maya says trying to manage her quivering voice.
