I didn't check the number Aarna gave to me, thinking if she had come to tell me things about Meera, why would she write the wrong number, but now when I am calling, no one is picking up.

Before I could enter the number in my system to know whose name it was registered, my phone rang.

I let out a sigh of relief and picked up the phone without wasting a second.

" Hello. " It's Aarna.

" It's Me. Madhav. " I say.

" Oh." She says, the pauses are lingering between us. " Why are you calling me? Did something happen?" She asks hesitantly, like one wrong word, and she would say something she shouldn't.

" No. Nothing wrong. Shivi My sister. I heard her saying you aren't coming for her Wedding. I just called to say that if you just cancelled your plans because of me, then rest assured you won't be facing any complications. And it's just family. She would love it if you came. " I say. I know she might not want to meet me or anything. It's understandable.

" I can't promise anything. I will see and let Shivanya know. " She says after another long pause.

" You can't avoid me or anyone. Meera must have told you that we are getting engaged a day after my sister's Wedding and I know you won't miss it for the world. " I say, let her know in case she isn't aware of the fact.

Yes. Meera and I are getting engaged. It's a fact no one. Not even God can change.

" What." She exclaims. " See you later. " She says hanging up on me.

By her reaction, I am damn sure Meera didn't tell her anything. I know it was sudden for her but I also remember how hard she thought before saying the word that made me the happiest man alive. Yes.

I know I kind of tricked her. It wasn't even my plan, but when we were sitting by the sea, Mumma texted to arrange a driver for Yashoda Aunty, Meera's mother, as she was leaving after dinner.

I kept Checking the camera feed to make sure we left at the right time so they could see us together either in the parking lot or when I carried her while kissing in the penthouse for the women to see.

I know I am a dick. I won't even say otherwise, but I want her all to myself and as soon as possible so I am not gonna sit like a love-sick idiot and wait for some miracle to happen.
