" The plane is ready. " I hear Jay say on the phone.
" I am not coming back today. " I say, walking backstage towards Mehak, Meera's secretary, who herself is busy.
My eyes trying to find Meera. Like yesterday, she didn't come and sat in the audience to watch the ramp walk.
" But the meeting. " He says sounding tense.
" I don't care. You handle it on my behalf or postpone it. " I say standing next to Mehak.
" Okey. But take care. First, you didn't let me accompany you, and now this. Let me remind you I am your bodyguard first. " He says disappointed.
" I know. " I say. I have slowly stopped taking him anywhere as my bodyguard. He is more capable, and it would be better if he acted as my head of security, completely taking in more corporate work.
" Ask the pilot to do what's needed. " I say, not wanting to create chaos at the airport.
" Where is Meera," I ask.
" Mam was here she must have gone out." She says.

I decided to give Meera the space to think and then reach a conclusion. There are too many cracks in our relationship and we can't work on filling them with love until the uncertainties are out of our way and she is all in this.
I don't want her to hate me in the future. I didn't want to lose her like last time also. And I also feel like a fucker after pushing her. Giving her a timeline. Her tears killed me that night.
