The next morning were heading out again. There is no spoken word of what Connor did last night. As I went out of the room I closed the door. My leg still hurting. Connor wasn't there in my room, and honestly I missed his gentle presence. I can't quite figure him out. But my theory is that he's just hard because of his past, and that gentle side is the one who he might has been without all he had to go through.

The first one I see is Aiden, he gave me a soft smile before his eyes darted down my neck. "Are those... love bites?", he asked. My eyes widened and I automatically cover my neck with my hand. "N-No..." I say and try to think of an excuse. "I probably just fell in the nettles while we fought." Aiden raises an eyebrow, not believing me.

"Are you sure about that? I wasn't born yesterday", he said. "I know playbiting when it comes to it." I wanted to deny while also telling the truth. But I could do neither since he already picked me up. "Come on, the others are waiting. Besides it's not so far anymore if we may believe your little hunter friend."

He walked outside and I noticed Jonah, looking firm and wary as ever. Just when we are about to move there is some rustling in the bushes. A famiar face came out.

It was Liam, I did miss him but I assumed he needed to stay with the rest of tha pack from his father. I flashed him a soft smile which he returned once his eyes met mine. Yet our short moment was broken as Connor walked up. "Look at who we have here, my little halfbreed brother. Were you too scared to be left alone?", he snarled and Liam shot a glare at him.

"I want to go with you", Liam replied and looked at King Hendrick, who looked slightly annoyed. "Why do you suddenly want to come?", he asked. "You said it yourself, everyone is welcome", He said. I didn't what they were talking about but didn't interfene.

"Come or not. I don't care. But I am leaving now", said Jonah and made his way through the forest and Aiden, with me, follows behind. I didn't look behind but at the corner of my eye I have seen Liam.

So he does come...

I don't have a safe feeling at all. The past hours the forest grows darker, more wild, more closed. We struggle getting past. "Are you sure where you're going, hunter?", asked Connor and Jonah nodded. "We're almost there."

I hold on a bit tighter to Aiden who notices and gave my arm a reassuring squeeze. Liam walks beside us and looked up at me. "What happened?", he asked softly and looked at my leg. "A hunter shot an arrow in my leg." I simply replied. "Sounds painful...", he said softly. "It is.."

Liam looked back at Aiden. "I can carry her if you like, you're walking around for hours." "I'm fine", growled Aiden softly and I noticed his grip getting tighter, as if he didn't want to let go at all. "It can't hurt, you're already carrying me for some time now", I said. "I'm fine."

Aiden sighed and finally let go. I expected for Liam to carry me on his back like the others, but instead he swoops me up and carries me in bridal style. Surprised my arms went to his neck and hold on. But I didn't complain, now there was some pressure off my leg this way.

"What does Johannes Key look like?", I whispered softly to him. "I don't know", he said. "I've never seen him myself." "He was like the king of werewolves, right?" Liam nodded and I noticed Fenrir taking position beside us. "You look different." he said to Liam. "More... innocent."

Liam looked away. "My condolences for your sister", Liam replied. "Now there is only one female left..."

It was quiet between us three and then Jonah stopped walking.

"We arrived."
