They were childhood friends. He was resolved to protect her till the end. He has vowed to never get married. But...
They were the happiest times of my life. To see Haruka everyday in my home, as my wife, waiting for me to come home, preparing food for me, talking to me until one of us felt tired to stay awake, sharing some of her secrets with me and listening to mine, all the while taking care of me.. There was not a single dull day in these 4 months. She has truly brightened my life.
I stationed myself on the couch and let her have the bedroom. We felt comfortable staying this way.
I went on missions from time to time. But I remained extremely careful to not get injured and definitely to not die!
I was resolved to spend time with her as much as life allows me to and I cannot let myself die anytime soon.
I have been out on a 4 day mission. When I came home, I was greeted with her bright smile.
"Hi there"
"Kakashiii.. you're back!" She beamed with joy and hugged me tightly

I chuckled heartily at her gesture and hugged her back
"You seem to be in a good mood today!" I said and smiled at her
"I always am, when you come home.. I was actually starting to miss your presence here" she gave me my squinted eye smile. It makes my heart skip a beat whenever she does that
"Hmm.. Is that so?" it was heartwarming to hear her words and see her beam with happiness, because of my arrival
"Yeah.. But today I saw a good movie and have been feeling good since then"
"I see" I mused at her expression
"Yes" she nodded
"What movie is it?" I asked curiously
"The Notebook" she said with a big smile
"The Notebook?" I asked back
"Yes! Perhaps you should watch it sometime. I have a feeling that you'd like it just as much as I do" the excitement in her eyes matched the one in her voice
"I'll add it to my watchlist" I removed my shoes & started taking off the backpack and pouch
"Are you hungry? I made something special for you"
"Did you now?" I asked and smiled at her cute expressions
"I prepared your favorites.. Miso soup with eggplant and salt broiled saury"
"Thank you Haruka! I'm starving as a matter of fact"
"Why don't you freshen up while I arrange everything on the table?"
"Yes. Let me take a quick shower and come back"
"Okay"
I entered the bathroom, took off my clothes and stepped into the shower. I ran the shower cold, in an attempt to reduce the inflammation, and swelling. Last mission was quick but I had managed to get a blow on my back while trying to save Naruto and Sakura. It'd take a while for them to level up, nevertheless I'm very proud of my team.
