Tomorrow marks one month since I and Kakashi got married. This past month was everything I ever wanted to have in my life. Kakashi took up every role I needed, he became my best friend, a caring husband and a person with whom I could share anything. The amount of care he has shown towards me was almost as good as my dad's. He became my comfort before I knew it.
He never let me feel alone. When he comes home, we do almost everything together. From doing the dishes, watching movies, sipping tea while staring at the sunset, playing board games or card games or just lazily sitting on the couch and talking about absolute mundane stuff.
On days when Kakashi had a day off, he prepared a heavy meal for us. Though I insisted on preparing atleast one meal of the day, he never let me and did everything on his own on his day offs. After dinner we either watched some of his favorite movies or we played card games till late at night.
We placed bets on each game. I currently owe Kakashi around 26,000 Yen, which I'm planning to reduce by playing Shogi more often than card games. Hmm... It seems to be a good idea to place bets on Shogi as well, since I have an upper hand in it.
Two days back, Kakashi and I went to the market to purchase a few items for the house. Today I took up the task of cleaning our home and arranging the newly bought stuff in place.
Kakashi was extremely organized. His house was very clean, but it was very.. monotonous. I felt we can add some color to this place. Since I'm staying here too, I decided to rearrange a few things and share some of his space. I asked him if he is fine with rearranging his belongings stating the reason, for which he gladly agreed. We purchased various new household items and few new clothes for me.
I rearranged everything in the living room and kitchen, with the new items. I then started with the bedroom. I picked up his clothes and arranged them on the top shelf as I decided to take the middle one.
When I picked up everything from his shelf, I saw a button, which almost seemed like a round switch. I clicked it and the shelf's inner wall opened sideways as if it were a door. I saw a safe that was locked inside. Although I did not want to invade his privacy, but I was curious, about what he had hidden in there.
I remembered where Kakashi usually keeps all his keys and looked for the one that seemed proportionate with the size of the safe. I picked the smallest key and headed back towards the bedroom. The key unlocked the safe, but I didn't open it. Holding the key in my hand, I debated whether I should try to open the safe or lock it back and place the key where it was.
Is the intrusion into his personal stuff good? Definitely Not. But, can it help me know more about Kakashi? Possibly Yes.
Despite knowing Kakashi for almost my entire life, he still remained a mystery in several aspects. He tends to keep things to himself most of the time, so I can guess to a certain extent about some of his thoughts, but not all of them.
I want to know him more, on the personal front, and not just as a friend. I want to know all there is to know about him, just as he knows everything there is to know about me, including my deepest fears, dreams and beliefs.
I hold a deep, honest, and sublime connection with him, I want him to have a similar bond with me, where he can showcase his vulnerabilities and his burning desires.
After debating for several minutes, I embarrassedly opened the safe to see some papers, scrolls which seemed like mission details along with a tiny box placed above and an envelope at the corner.
The tiny box and envelope seemed to be odd ones in there, compared to the official papers and mission scrolls. I didn't touch the mission papers as they are related to his work. Instead I picked the box and opened to see a ring in it
