ElianaI slowly came to my senses, my mind still in a confusing loop as I tried to wake myself up. I knew I was sleeping for a while but I couldn't tell for how long, everything was disoriented. I tried to move but every effort sent a painful chill across my body. I could barely get my eyes to open, "Wait she's not dead."
I stopped making an effort to get up and tried listening for the voice again. "Who said she was?" That was a different voice.
"Yeah no one agreed she was dead." Another voice.
Panic rushed through my body realizing I only wasn't alone, but I was surrounded. I decided to remain still, slowly regaining my strength as I relaxed against the floor. I was going to need it if I had to fight my way out of here. "She stopped moving, I think she's dead now."
"Will you stop that." Yet another voice. I heard the sounds of light footsteps, "She can't be dead."
Another voiced agreed, "They wouldn't have put her in here if she was dead." There was some shuffling and my heart pounded in my ears, "So if she's dead, they're going to think one of us killed her..."
"Let's not get ahead of ourselves." There were light footsteps in my direction again, "You stop saying she's dead, you stop thinking we killed her, there's really only one way to find out what the hell they brought."
Before she could try anything I quickly rose to my feet. She backed up a little at my sudden movements and I tried to get my head on straight still a bit woozy. The woman had her brown hair in a low cut, a bit bigger in build than me. "What way?" I could still take her if I wanted to, I just needed to breathe first.
"Oh shit." My gaze traveled behind her to another brunette woman and then I began to notice all the women behind her. I began to spin in a circle my eyes widening as I realized how much women were in the large white colored room. "She's alive."
"Of course she's alive." I turned back to face the woman with the low cut again, "Are you okay?"
I licked my chapped lips biting down on the bottom ones, "I'm fine." I took a look around the room once again, seeing all the different kinds of women in the room. Most of them stared back at me, others looked away, a couple of others asleep.
"Are you a stripper?" I looked over at the brunette that believed me to be dead.
"Gina." The one in the low cut hissed at her before looking back at me. She eased me for a moment before returning to my eyes, "She has to be, we all are."
"What do you—" There was a bang and I quickly looked over at the big door with a small window. A few of the women jumped and I stood guard waiting to see what or who it was. I balled my hands into fists, knowing it was the only defense I had.
The door opened and men with large rifles and black face coverings swarmed the room. "That one." One of them pointed and two men came after me. I kept my hands to my side as they kept their rifles trained on me, "Be careful."
They cautiously approached me before roughly slamming me down to the ground. I cried out in pain at the pressure of one of the men's knee in my back. "You don't need to be so rough with her!"
They cuffed my wrists and feet before chaining them together. They pulled me up on my feet and the guy that pointed at me chuckled. He turned towards the woman with the low cut, "I could be rough with whoever I want." His Spanish accent was thick in his words, "Mind your business and make sure you and all the other whores in here are decent for tonight."
He snapped his fingers and the men dragged me out of the room behind him. We entered a hallway and immediately my skin dotted with goosebumps at the sudden temperature change. The room the girls were being kept in was hot. "Who are you?"
