ElianaUpon opening the door strobes of green lights flashed my eyes. The cold air caused goosebumps to quickly line across my body. "Hey." A large man walked up to me and pointed down. I followed his finger and saw heels lined up, "Pick your size and walk up the pole."
I hesitantly reached down and picked my size slipping into the shoes. I turned around and looked out towards the stage. There was a closed curtain in front of the pole and I could hear chatter from behind it. The man snapped his fingers, "Any day now, let's go."
I walked up to the pole and held it with my hand as I waited. Music slowly began to play and the man came on the loudspeaker, "Bets for the dancer are starting now at 100 grand." Nervousness filled my throat.
The curtains began to open and I took that as my cue to start dancing on the pole. By the time I returned to the front my heart lurched in my chest at the amount of people I was performing for. The entire room was filled with men and women, their eyes on me as I danced. A ringing sound filled the room, "110 grand."
I continued to dance and the bets on having me continued to rise. I closed my eyes and continued on thinking back to being in the arms of my boys again. Their kisses on my body, their comforting touches, even their smell has become a distant whiff. All that stained my nose now was blood and fear. Another ringing sound filled the room "800 grand."
I opened my eyes and looked around the room. The amount of people was unsettling but I needed to make sure that...Silas? I almost completely stopped dancing at the sight of him. He was here...he was here... He put his index finger on his lips and nodded at me.
I held onto the pole tighter and relief flooded through me. If he was here I knew that meant the boys were too, but what were they waiting for. Another ringing sound, "One million."
The numbers continued to rise and I continued to dance keeping my eyes on Silas. The more time that passed by the more anxious I became of what was going to happen. I looked around the room and a fire snapped through me at the sight of blue eyes. Amara was standing in a nearby corner with a drink in her hand, she toasted the drink to me taking a sip. I clutched the pole tighter ready for the first opportunity I would have to kill her.
"Three million." Gunshots began to sound from outside of the room and I immediately stopped dancing. Murmurs erupted throughout the crowd and soon the doors opened gunshots filling the room. I immediately ran back to the door my thoughts on the girls waiting outside backstage.
I opened the door looking down the stairs, "Gina!" My heart dropped at the sight of an empty hall. I descended down the stairs as quick as I could with large stripper heels still strapped to my feet. "GINA!"
I ran down the way we came refusing to leave her and all the other girls here. I cautiously approached the corners knowing I was left defenseless if anyone came by. However the slower I was going the farther the man was getting with Gina and the girls.
I continued to run down the halls until I was suddenly stopped. I was about to attack until I realized he wasn't trying to hurt me. "Your boys are here." Relief flooded through me knowing they were in fact behind this. He handed me a gun, "Don't hesitate." I nodded knowing that I didn't plan to and continued down the hall.
Coincidentally when I turned the next corner Amara was slowly walking with her back turned to me. I fired shots off directly in her back and she screamed falling to the floor. I walked up to her and flipped her on her back, sinking my foot into her throat. Her mouth was filled with blood, "Wait..." She puked up blood and my foot got heavier, "Wait!"
