Eliana

"Slowly now." I heard a familiar voice say as I groaned softly trying to get myself together. An intense pressure rooted itself into the back of my head causing me to feel woozy as I tried to pick myself up. I could feel arms around my body slowly pulling me against the wall. I couldn't find the strength to open my eyes, "We found you in the hall sat up on the wall..."

I wanted to scoff, roll my eyes, do something but everything was numb. Another girl chimed in, "There was blood, we tended to it but you got hit hard."

Clarissa.

I forced myself to open my eyes the lights in the room although dim, burned my eyes for a moment. From my position on the wall I scanned the room, looking for the possible dark shine of something black. I swallowed before I spoke, "You only found me?" My voice was cracked and low but was received.

The girls shook their heads and I bit down on my bottom lip. In mere minutes I lost her. If I had just...I was going to kill Amara if it was the last thing I do. The woman with her brown hair in a low cut stood up. She took in the room before she addressed me, "They're going to come back in here and force us to perform. We've been waiting for days to attack, you with us?"

"Look at her Effie, she could barely open her eyes."

I thought of what Amara said about me needing to perform for Snake tonight based on Frisco's plan. Starting another riot would derail the entire night and hopefully help me get out of here. I nodded and pushed myself off the wall, "I'm good, I can fight."

Effie nodded at me, "We can't be afraid when they come in here no matter how much fear we feel." She looked around the room, "It's either we fight or die."

I rested my head against the wall again thinking of being in the arms of my boys again. I had no clue what could possibly be going on right now with them...and with Lucia. My chest tightened thinking of how she reacted to me being gone. I needed to get back home.

After a couple of moments of silence I could feel someone inching closer to me. I opened my eyes and looked over to see one of the girls taking a seat closer to me. She smiled, "I don't know if you remember but I'm Gina." She chuckled, "I called you dead too many times in the short amount of time you've been here."

I found myself smiling a bit at her, "It's not like I ended up here willingly, I would think I was dead too."

She leaned her head on the wall, "As much as Effie wants to put up a fight majority of these girls are scared and have never held a gun in their life." I took this time to look around the room full of different kinds of women, "We have the numbers but that's not enough when all you can do is stare."

There was a bang on the door and most of the women shot up from their positions on the floor and wall. With help from Gina I picked myself up, my eyes met Effie's and she nodded, "Do not be afraid ladies." She reiterated taking a full spin of the room.

I rubbed the back of my head sending a small ripple of ease through my head to calm the pain. The door opened and I took a deep breath anxious to see what would happen next. What felt like minutes passing by nothing happened, the door just remained open no one walking in. "What do we do now?"

If I wasn't in such bad shape I would've investigated the open door myself. But I'd be more of a harm than a help if I tried to do anything. Effie slowly inched towards the open door, four other girls following behind her as she cautiously walked out the door.

Soon the five of them disappeared altogether walking out the door. I looked at Gina before the open door, "What does it mean?"

Gina looked around the room and the girls in the room looked right back at her, "I'm not deciding for anyone, whoever wants to go through that door can."
