That night, I went home feeling dejected, the weight of disappointment settling in my chest, but I was also filled with gratitude that Theron had been there to protect me from that predatory old man.

He didn’t just leave it at that, either.

He made sure I got home safely, driving behind me the entire way, only turning back once he saw me pull into my driveway.

His concern lingered with me, offering a sense of comfort amidst the chaos of the evening.

I hadn’t originally planned on going home so soon.

A part of me was still holding onto hope that Athena would show up eventually, but the restaurant was closing, and I couldn’t stay any longer.

I sent her a message, letting her know the place was shutting down for the night and that I understood her absence.

There had to be a good reason for her not making it—an emergency, no doubt.

That’s just how it is at the hospital.

Doctors rarely have schedules that align with anything predictable.

This morning, however, I made sure to start the day off right.

I wasn’t going to let last night get in the way of making an impression.

The photoshoot was scheduled to begin, and I wanted everything to be perfect.

I took it upon myself to stop by the coffee shop, ordering Athena's favorite coffee and a slice of cake to brighten her morning.

I picked up some for myself as well, hoping that we could sit and have breakfast together before the chaos of the day began.

Excitement bubbled within me as I anticipated the shoot.

I rarely get to model these days, not with the demands of being a CEO constantly pulling me in different directions.

But, if my life had gone another way, I might have pursued acting and modeling more seriously.

After all, I’d already had my debut and even landed a main role.

Those were the days when everything seemed possible, and in some ways, they still are.

That was how Jezreel and I became friends, actually.

She was an extra on that same project, fresh into her own debut era as an actress.

Funny how fate intertwines paths in such unexpected ways.

Arriving at the hospital, I noticed the crew already setting up near building two for the photoshoot.

I made my way past them, heading towards building one with a determined stride.

I reached Athena’s office and knocked a few times, but there was no response.
