The War - 3

No one's POV

Dirty games.

A dirty game plotted by someone to win easily.

That was the situation Samantha found herself in—locked in a deadly game where honor and justice no longer mattered. But was she shaken? No.

Even in the face of a threat so close, where one wrong move could mean death, Samantha remained composed.

Was she afraid that one of her enemies had chosen to play dirty, abandoning any semblance of fairness?

Not at all.

Before the man could even squeeze the trigger, she had already acted.

With precision and ruthless efficiency, she drove her knee into his groin, a sharp, unexpected movement that sent him reeling in pain.

But Samantha didn’t stop there. With deadly grace, she brought both guns to bear, her fingers pulling the triggers in swift succession.

Two shots echoed in the room—a twin roar of finality.

One bullet buried itself in his chest, the other, in his skull.

The man fell in an instant, his body collapsing to the cold, hard floor like a puppet whose strings had been severed.

His blood spread out in a crimson pool, slowly soaking into the filthy tiles of the abandoned hospital.

Disgust flickered briefly in Samantha’s mind as she looked at the scene.

The dirt, the blood, the stench of death—it was nauseating.

But she pushed the feeling aside.

There was no room for weakness in a place like this.

The game she was in was dirty—filthier than the floor beneath her feet.

The sound of gunfire became almost a rhythm, punctuating the eerie silence of the decrepit building.

Each shot seemed to echo endlessly, bouncing off the crumbling walls and long-forgotten halls.

Yet, despite the chaos within, the outside world remained blissfully unaware of the horrors happening inside these rotting walls.

Why?

Because the hospital sat far away from the city, hidden beyond miles of countryside.

Acres of desolate land surrounded them, acting as a barrier between this deadly war and the unsuspecting world.

It was as though this battle existed in a vacuum, where no help would come, no law would intervene.
