Hira had brought Kiyoi home back to his place where he knew Kiyoi would be safe and warm until tomorrow came around.Hira was a shy guy and he worshipped Kiyoi like a god, but when he walked past the bar tonight he saw that Kiyoi was drinking and having a lot of fun but when he realised that the guys he was with got up and left him their alone, he walked in and pulled Kiyoi out and made sure he was okay.
"Who.... You....?" Kiyoi tried asking. "It's Hira, Kiyoi, come on." On the way to Hira's home, Kiyoi mumbled words incoherently and Hira had no idea what he was saying.
Once Hira and Kiyoi made it to Hira's place, Hira opened the door and slowly brought Kiyoi and sat him down on his bed.Kiyoi then spoke out towards Hira drunkenly, "I love you." Which made Hira drop the glass he had in his hand.
Hira and Kiyoi were now staring at each other but Kiyoi was so drunk that he ended up plopping down on the bed and closed his eyes.
"Kiyoi..?" Hira yelled out a but it seems that Kiyoi had fallen asleep.
Hira stood frozen for a moment, processing the words that had just tumbled out of Kiyoi's mouth. His heart raced, a mix of disbelief and hope flooding through him. He carefully picked up the shattered pieces of the glass, but his mind was still lingering on Kiyoi's confession.
After a few moments of silence, he whispered, "Did he really just say that?"
He glanced over at Kiyoi, who lay sprawled across the bed, his chest gently rising and falling in a steady rhythm. Hira couldn't help but smile as he watched Kiyoi's tousled hair and the faint smile still painted on his lips. "You're such a mess," Hira murmured to himself, shaking his head as he picked up a few stray blankets from the floor and draped them over Kiyoi's sleeping form.
As he turned off the light, Hira's mind kept racing. His heart thudded in his chest as he recalled Kiyoi's eyes, glazed and sparkling with laughter earlier in the evening. "Why do you always have to go out and be so... you?" he muttered softly, flicking off the switch. He slid into the bed beside Kiyoi, careful not to disturb him.
"Mmm... Hira?" Kiyoi mumbled, stirring slightly at the sound of his name.
"Yeah, it's me," Hira whispered, trying to keep the warmth in his voice steady. "Just go back to sleep."
Kiyoi blinked open his eyes, still fuzzy from the alcohol. "Are you mad?" he asked, his voice a raspy whisper.
Hira swallowed hard, feeling the warmth rush to his cheeks. "No, not mad. Just worried."
Kiyoi let out a small laugh that sounded like music to Hira's ears. "Worried? About me? I'm a grown man, you know."
"Sure, but even grown men can make silly decisions," Hira replied, resting his elbow on his propped-up knee. "Like drinking too much and passing out on my bed."
Kiyoi grinned lazily, propping himself up on one elbow. "Well, it's not every day I get to sleep in such a cozy place. Thanks for saving me, Hira. You're my hero."
"Hero? More like a babysitter," Hira chuckled, still trying to hide his embarrassment behind a playful smirk.
Kiyoi's expression turned soft as he gazed at Hira. "I mean it, you know. I was having fun, but when they left, I felt... lost. You were the only one who cared enough to come in after me."
"Of course, I care," Hira replied, his voice barely above a whisper. He could feel his heart pounding in his chest again, this time for an entirely different reason. "I'd do anything for you, Kiyoi."
Kiyoi's eyes sparkled with mischief as he leaned closer. "Does that mean you have feelings for me? Just admit it, Hira. You like me."
Hira's mouth went dry, and for a moment, he couldn't find the words. "I... um, well..." he stammered, feeling the weight of Kiyoi's gaze.
