Ryu and Zen were the two most unlikely couple you could ever imagine. Ryu was the notorious mafia leader, feared and respected by many. Zen, on the other hand, was a simple and kind-hearted man who had a knack for getting into trouble. But somehow, their paths crossed and they fell in love.
Everyone in the mafia world was surprised when they found out about their relationship. It was unheard of for a mafia leader to have a boyfriend. But Ryu didn't care about what others thought, as long as he had Zen by his side.
One day, while Zen was on his way to meet Ryu, he was suddenly grabbed by a group of men and thrown into a van. Before he could even yell for help, he was knocked unconscious.
When he regained consciousness, he found himself in a dark room, tied up and blindfolded. He could hear voices and footsteps, but he couldn't make out who they were. Then, a familiar voice spoke.
"Zen? Is that you?" Ryu's voice sounded worried and frantic.
"Ryu? Oh my god, they kidnapped me!" Zen exclaimed, trying to free himself from the ropes.
"Don't worry, Zen. I'll get you out of there. I promise," Ryu said firmly.
Ryu knew that whoever had kidnapped Zen, it was probably a rival gang trying to get to him. He knew he had to act fast before they realized who Zen was.
He called his most trusted men and gave them orders to find Zen. They searched every corner of the city, asking for information and putting pressure on anyone who might know something.
Meanwhile, Zen was being interrogated by his kidnappers. They wanted to know everything about Ryu and his mafia business. But Zen refused to say anything, even though he was being beaten and tortured.
"Come on, Zen. Just tell us what you know and we'll let you go," one of the kidnappers said, trying to convince him.
"I won't betray Ryu. He's the love of my life and I'll protect him no matter what," Zen replied confidently.
Ryu's men finally found the location where Zen was being held. They informed Ryu and he wasted no time in going there. He burst into the room, guns blazing, taking down all the kidnappers. He found Zen, beaten and bruised, but alive.
"Zen!" Ryu exclaimed, rushing to untie him.
"Ryu, you came for me," Zen said with a weak smile.
"Of course, I did. I'll always come for you," Ryu replied, holding Zen tightly.
They made their way out of the building, but they were ambushed by more of the kidnappers.
Ryu fought them off, but one of them managed to shoot Zen in the leg. Ryu's heart stopped for a moment, but he quickly took care of the remaining kidnappers and carried Zen to safety.
Once they were safe, Ryu took Zen to the hospital. He stayed by his side, never leaving him for a moment. And when Zen finally woke up, the first thing he saw was Ryu's worried face.
"You did all this for me?" Zen asked, tears welling up in his eyes.
"Of course, I did. I'll do whatever it takes to keep you safe and by my side," Ryu replied, his voice filled with love and determination.
From that day on, Ryu and Zen's love grew even stronger. Zen proved to be a strong and loyal partner, and Ryu's men respected him even more. Together, they were an unstoppable force, and their love knew no boundaries.
As Ryu sat beside Zen's hospital bed, he couldn't help but admire the strength that emanated from him, even in such a vulnerable state. The room was quiet, save for the beeping of machinery and the distant bustle of the hospital.
"Ryu," Zen said softly, breaking the silence. "You didn't have to put yourself in danger for me. I could have handled it... somehow."
Ryu shook his head, his brows furrowing. "No, Zen. You don't understand. I can't lose you. You're everything to me. There's no handling danger when it comes to you. I'd rather put my life on the line than see you hurt."
Zen smiled, though the pain was evident in his eyes. "You're just too reckless. What if something happened to you?"
"Then I'll take that risk for a hundred more lifetimes. You know that," Ryu replied, leaning closer. "You're worth it."
Zen's heart swelled with warmth, despite the throbbing in his leg. "I wish I could be as brave as you," he confessed, looking down at his bandaged leg.
"Bravery isn't just about facing danger, Zen. It's about standing for what you love, no matter the cost. You showed that tonight. You stood your ground against those monsters; you didn't give them anything," Ryu said, his voice steady with conviction.
Zen met Ryu's eyes, a flicker of admiration shining through the pain. "I just couldn't betray you. It would've broken me. I didn't want to see you hurt."
Ryu took a deep breath and squeezed Zen's hand gently, brushing his thumb over Zen's knuckles. "And I don't want to see you hurt. We're partners in this, remember? I protect you, and you keep my humanity intact. We balance each other out."
Zen chuckled softly, wincing slightly. "You being my protector is definitely an unusual arrangement, considering you're a mafia boss."
"Maybe so, but you've made me realize that love can change everything. It makes me want to be better, stronger... not just for me, but for us."
"That's incredibly sweet, Ryu," Zen said, his eyes twinkling with warmth. "But at some point, I really have to learn self-defense or something. I can't let you fight my battles forever."
Ryu's lips quirked into a smile. "Deal. We'll train together. I want to make you tough enough to kick ass on your own if it ever comes to that."
"You might regret that when I start throwing punches," Zen teased, working to lighten the mood despite the lingering pain.
Ryu laughed, the sound echoing pleasantly in the sterile room. "As if I could fear my boyfriend kicking my ass. But seriously, Zen. You'll always be my priority. I need to ensure you're safe. I don't care if that makes me overprotective."
Zen's expression turned serious again. "Ryu, I know you care. But please promise me you'll be careful too. You can't fight every battle alone. I want to be there, too."
Ryu nodded, understanding the weight of Zen's words. "You're right. We face this together like partners. No hiding things from each other. I need you just as much as you need me."
"Then it's settled. Partners in crime," Zen said with a grin, the pain momentarily forgotten.
"Partners in everything," Ryu replied as he leaned closer, pressing a gentle kiss to Zen's forehead. "Now, get some rest. I'll be right here when you wake up."
As Zen's eyes fluttered shut, he whispered, "I love you, Ryu."
Ryu watched him drift off, a soft smile on his face. "I love you too, Zen. Always."
And with that, both men felt a bond stronger than any danger they could face, knowing they could conquer anything together.
