The happy ending they didn't get, which in my opinion they should've gotten.

Tongkla got shot and the bullet just missed his heart, he survived after he had been rushed to the hospital and got the bullet taken out. Well all this was happening Korn was panicking, not knowing if he was going to make it but when he got the news from the doctor that he was doing a lot better and in recovery, he dropped to his knees and cried, then the doctor asked, "Did you want to go see him?" And Korn said yes.
When Korn got to the door of Tongkla's room, he stopped, he couldn't walk in, he just stood there, tears falling more and more, and when the doctor turned around he said, "Sir, are you coming in?"
"I um,"
"No no, it's okay, take your time." The doctor then walks further into the room and checks on Tongkla.
Korn thinks to himself.
'I... I can't move...... I... didn't know what was wrong with me, he was just 10 feet away from me and I still couldn't go in and see him.'
The doctor then went back to Korn and then the doctor gently patted Korn's shoulder and said, "Sometimes, it takes a lot of courage to face the ones we love when they are hurt. But remember, Tongkla is a tough guy, and he's going to need you now more than ever."
Korn took a deep breath and finally walked into the room. The sight of Tongkla lying in the hospital bed, hooked up to machines broke his heart. But the moment Tongkla opened his eyes and smiled weakly at him, Korn knew that they had been given a second chance, a second chance to make things right between each other.
"H...hey, n..no crying.... please." Tongkla said so delicately as he was still trying to use his voice after being under anesthetic when he was brought in to the hospital.
Korn chuckled softly through his tears, wiping them away with the back of his hand. "I can't help it, you scared me half to death," he replied, his voice shaky with a mixture of relief and lingering fear. He approached the bed slowly, keeping his eyes locked on Tongkla's face, which looked pale against the stark white sheets.
"You always worry too much," Tongkla murmured, his voice raspy but warm, a flicker of mischief in his eyes. "If I had known this would get you so worked up, I would have staged an even more dramatic entrance."
"Don't you dare joke right now," Korn said, a smile pulling at the corners of his mouth despite himself. "You nearly got yourself killed. What were you thinking?"
Tongkla laughed softly, a sound that was more like a cough, causing his face to twist in discomfort. Korn instinctively reached out, taking Tongkla's hand, and feeling the warmth of his skin.
"I was trying to protect you," Tongkla admitted after a moment.
"Protect me? I didn't need protecting, I just wanted you.." Korn stopped, he looked down at his and Tongkla's hands which he had intertwined together.
But Tongkla spoke, "I would jump in front of anything just to protect the man I am in love with. I would do this all over again if I had to, Korn. You are the only person I love in this entire world and I can't lose you to a single bullet, so I jump in front of it so you won't be hurt, I chose this, so I could be the one who saves you. So no crying, I did this because I love you."
Korn was now crying, his t-shirt wet from his tears, and then Tongkla told Korn, "come here, get on the bed and hug me."
So that's what he did, he slowly got on the bed, being as careful as he could to not hurt Tongkla any more than he already was.
"I love you you, always."
Korn felt a rush of emotions, gratitude mingled with anxiety. Tongkla's words wrapped around his heart, warming it despite the cold sterile atmosphere of the hospital room. He squeezed Tongkla's hand tighter, feeling the strength behind his words, and in that moment, the fear of losing him faded just a little.
"But what if you hadn't made it?" Korn breathed, his voice barely above a whisper. "What if I had lost you?"
"I'm here, aren't I?" Tongkla said, lifting his chin defiantly in that familiar way that always made Korn smile, even now. "I'm tougher than I look."
"But you don't have to be tough all the time, Tongkla," Korn said, desperation edging his voice. "You can lean on me too. I want to protect you just as you protect me."
The playful flicker in Tongkla's eyes didn't dim, despite the seriousness of their conversation. "And you do," he assured, his thumb brushing over Korn's knuckles. "I feel safe with you, Korn. That's all that matters. That's why I took the risk."
Korn shook his head, tears threatening to spill over again, but this time they were tears of relief, of deep-seated love. "You scared me so much. I can't imagine a world without you in it."
"You won't have to. I'm not going anywhere," Tongkla replied, his voice confident but gentle. "We have our issues, yes, but let's promise to work through them together. I need you, Korn. Just as much as you need me."
Korn hesitated for a moment but then nodded, the acceptance washing over him like a warm wave. "Okay. I promise. I'll be here for you, no matter what."
The moment felt transformative, as if their love had crystallized into something stronger, something resilient. Just then, a nurse entered, and Korn pulled his gaze away, expecting her to interrupt.
"Everything is looking stable," she said, checking the machines that monitored Tongkla's health. "You can stay a little longer, just keep the noise down."
Korn tentatively smiled at the nurse, then turned his focus back to Tongkla, who watched him with unyielding affection. "We'll get through this. Just think, soon we'll be complaining about each other's cooking disasters again."
Tongkla laughed, a light sound filled with unguarded joy that echoed in the sterile room. "I wouldn't have it any other way."
Korn felt hope blossom in the depths of his heart, blossoming against all the odds. They would mend the cracks in their relationship; he was certain of it. He leaned down, resting his forehead against Tongkla's, feeling the coolness of the hospital sheets beneath him and the warmth radiating from Tongkla above.
"Promise me something," Korn said softly, his heart racing in anticipation. "You'll let me protect you too, from now on?"
Tongkla's serious gaze met his, reflecting a depth of understanding that went beyond words. "I promise. But on one condition," he added playfully, his tone lightening. "You let me protect you right back."
"I can do that," Korn said, smiling widely, his heart swelling with love. "We'll keep each other safe."
As they stayed connected in that moment, the world outside faded, the trials they had faced dimming into the background. In each other's eyes, they saw not just love but also salvation, a new beginning infused with hope and possibility. A wave of comfort washed over Korn.
With Tongkla by his side, he felt like they could conquer anything. This was a love worth fighting for.
