Our moms left an hour later to grab dinner and head home for the night. One of the nurses moved us from the delivery room into a private hospital room on the maternity ward. When we got there a lactation specialist showed up a few minutes later.
She helped me feed Haven for the first time. A calm feeling fell of me after we got Haven latched on. I felt an indescribable bond build up between us. I never want to stop nursing her. I know that in like a week I'll probably be in tears from the pain of nursing . I've read enough horror stories to know. But for now I'll enjoy it.

" I just can't believe she's really here." Matty sighs before continuing " I just can't take my eyes off her, she just perfect." It's an amazing feeling watching your husband become a father. It truly makes you fall even more in love with them than you could have ever thought possible.
I can't wait to see what the future holds for us with little Haven in our lives. I just feel like everything feel into place at the perfect timing. We had so many big moments this year. We reunited, got together, got engaged, got pregnant, opened up my second bakery, won the Stanley cup, got married, and now our little Haven has caped off an amazing year. I've never been happier.
