When Matty and I woke up this morning in his hotel room , I was feeling just so anxious. Matt helped calmed me down some by having a long sweaty morning in bed. The grand opening of the bakery is at noon and it's currently ten am , so I definitely need to get over there now that I'm more relaxed.
A few weeks ago Poppy and Rue took me shopping to find a dress for the grand opening, I absolutely fell in love with this one . It also kinda reminds me of a pastry , matty chuckled at me when I told him that . I'm so happy that I get to have Matty and my parents here for my grand opening. I feel so blessed with the amount of support I've received.

When I opened my bakery in Miami , due to it being hockey season at the time my brothers couldn't be there . So my parents made the trip alone , I wish that my brothers could be here today too but that is the sacrifice you have to live with when the people in your life get to live out there dream of playing hockey in the NHL.
" you look beautiful baby , you're even glowing". I blush as matty squats down and helps me put on my heels he's been doing that for me ever since we got together. " thank you bubs, and thank you for being here with me today it means the world to me ." He smiles up at me and stands back up after my last shoe is on " even if I was supposed to be in California not Detroit , I would be here . You constantly support me in my career and my big moments and now I get to support you today ."
I hug matty laying my head on his chest and listen to his heartbeat . It makes me think back to the day in the doctors office when we were listening to our baby's heartbeat. " I love you so much Matthew" he lays a kiss on top of my head as we sway back in forth in each others arms " I'm so freaking proud of you Hailey . I love you so damn much ."
An hour later Matty and I are driving through Ann Arbor , we're about to pass the bakery on our way to the back parking lot . Matty never got the opportunity to see the bakery before I renovated he's only seen pictures that I have showed him these past few months . Lately though I made sure to keep the progress pictures to myself.
"We're about to pass by the front of the bakery , it's up on your right " Matt looks his window as I drive past the bakery seeing all of the decor for the grand opening including a big ribbon for me and Charlotte to cut. " Hailey , that looks so beautiful. I can't believe it's the same space that you showed me pictures of all those months ago ."
