Today has been the day from hell. Everything that could go wrong has gone wrong . We're two weeks into October , which means it's Halloween central here at the bakery. On top of everything we make everyday at the bakery now we have to make the items from our Halloween menu which is a lot of things .

We make Halloween cakesicles with different spooky designs, we have candy / chocolate dipped apples , strawberry's and other items that are decorated for the holiday . Then there's cookies , cakes , donuts , cupcakes and cake pops all decorated in different designs.
I love Halloween in general but even more so since opening the bakery this is our second Halloween in Sweet Hughes history and I ended up going over the top again . So every morning is like rush hour for my staff to make and decorate every item in time to open the bakery on top of our other specialty orders .
The NHL season has also begun so I been going to the home games for the panthers to see Matty play. I'm running on empty but today has been downright horrible. It all started with my phone dying in the middle of the night so my alarm didn't go off and I woke up later than usual .
So I was in too much of a rush to eat breakfast . I sped off to the stable to see Jolene only to discover she had an infected abscess near her knee . My friend Holly is a large animal vet so I had to wait for her to come over to the stable then attend to Jolene and clean out the abscess and run a few tests .
By the time that I was finished and Jolene was all good again I was too late to go to my spin class with Poppy and Rue. So instead I headed off to the bakery only for my front tire to pop . Mind you I don't know how to change a tire . Sue me but my I never had to learn anytime this ever happened I was living in Michigan and my dad came and changed it for me .
So I ended up calling my friend and employee at the bakery Tyler Davis to come help me I was only a few blocks from the bakery so he could just run over to me . Tyler is a baker at Sweet Hughes and is one of the funniest people I have ever met . Ty is originally from Tennessee and moved down here to Miami after a bad break up .
