"I've fallen for you Na-Ra. I've fallen in love with everything about you. The way you carry yourself with so much grace and respect, the way your eye's glisten under the sun and the way your left dimple appears when you're truly smiling.
I stood in awe as i listened to him. I couldn't help myself and stood on my tiptoes closer to him and pressed my lips against his. He was startled at first but soon kissed back, his hand slipping around my waist and pulling me closer.
We broke apart to catch our breath, our hair soaked because of the rain. "I've fallen for you too Jake." I said as he engulfed me into his embrace.
"Wait why is your body so warm Na- Ra?" He asked, bewildered.
"Well we did just kiss"— I was cut off to him placing his hand on my forehead.
"You're burning up!" He took my hand, "let's go inside!"
"I wanted to stay in the rain a little longer." I said just as we headed inside a Jake shut the door.
"how about you just look at the rain from inside? You need warmer clothes."
We headed to my room where Jake instructed me to wear my robe and sit down. I watched him endearingly as he tried to look for my clothes.
"Why don't you have any thicker clothings. These are not going to keep you warm!" He said while closing the last drawer.
"It's fine i'll just wear one of my nightgowns." I said, attempting to take the bathrobe off but Jake stopped me.
"No, let's go to my room i'll give you my clothes." He handed me a few of his clothes while i went and changed into the bathroom.
"These are much better right." Jake said as i stepped out of the bathroom, his cheeks slightly tainting pink.
"They are." I said looking at myself in the mirror, "i don't look very flattering though, i look like a box." I shook my head in dismay.
"You look flattering in everything, don't say that again." Jake stated. "stay in bed, i'll go make us some food."
"You need to change your clothes too."
"okay i'll change but you need to rest." Jake said pointing to the bed.
"In your room?" I asked trying not to obviously smile. Jake's clothes had stuck to his body because of the rain and i noticed his back muscles just before he went into the bathroom.
After changing his clothes and drying his hair, he rested the towel around his neck and began rearranging his pillows for me to lean against.
"I'll make some food for you now."
"No i'm not hungry." I said holding onto his arm, "i'll eat later."
He thought for a moment, "you promise you're going to eat?" He asked as if nodded my head.
We laid down together on his bed, he dimmed the light slightly. My head resting on his shoulder while my hand was on his chest. His heart beating a little faster.
"Jake, your hearts beating fast."
"I know. It's because of you."
I was about to move my hand away feeling flustered but he stopped me, "keep it there." He said as i adjusted the duvet. "are you warm enough?"
"I am, don't worry." I replied slightly blushing at his thoughtfulness.
"If you're not..." he paused and i knew he was smirking, "there's other ways we could keep warm?"
