The cookies thankfully did not burn. I took them out and laid them out to cool. I went into a slight daze as my mind kept replaying the moment me and Jake had. I unconsciously touched the necklace he had given me.
It was so beautiful, i couldn't deny that.
"ooh are they ready?" I soon snapped out of the daze when i heard Jake's voice. He came next to me and admired the cookies. His hand went to grab one but i tapped it away.
"These ones are not for us." I said while watching the confused look on his face.
"Then who are they for? You said you didn't have any friends." He grinned.
"Thank you for the reminder." I said, even though it did hurt a little i didn't have any friends at all. "These are for the children."
He gasped dramatically, "you didn't tell me you had children!"
I shook my head, "not my children silly, the children at the orphanage." I looked at Jake, expecting him to say something, but he didn't. "why aren't you saying anything anymore?"
"It's just that, the more i get to know you the more i like you."
"Are you confessing to me right now? I would have preferred it to be while standing in the rain but this is okay too."
Jake laughed. It was an attractive laugh that wasn't going to be leaving my ears. "we should go to sleep, it's quite late."
We cleared the kitchen up and then went up to sleep. "Goodnight princess." Jake said.
"Goodnight Jake."
The next morning we woke up and packed some food for the picnic as well as for the children, we then headed to the orphanage. As Jake pulled up in took in the building. I hadn't been here since ages.
The building looked in better condition than the first time. As we got out of the car we noticed the kids playing in the grass and we headed inside.
"This is my first time coming to an orphanage." Jake whispered.
"Don't worry, it's only my second time but all the people here are nice. I said while secretly admiring him. He was wearing a casual outfit today instead of his usual bodyguard attire to not scare the children.
The director, Baek Hae-In welcomed us. She was a middle aged woman who i had last met a few years ago. She aged like fine wine. "Princess, it has been a while since we have seen you. How have you been?"
I smiled, "I've been well thank you, and it looks like you have too."
She laughed in a humble manner, "oh please." We had arrived to the children's classroom where some of them were playing and drawing.

The director and Na-Ra were chatting while also conversing with the children, i stood a little away from them to give them their privacy. While standing idly, i felt a tap on my leg and looked down to see a little boy and girl around the ages of 6. I crouched down and ruffled their hair.
"Sir, are you the princess?" The boy asked. I couldn't tell if he was being serious.
He was serious. I was flabbergasted to speak but the girl had spoken in for me.
"are you silly, he is the maid!" The little girl exclaimed enthusiastically as the boy nodded his head.
I had to stop this confusion.
"hey maid." I couldn't stop it, "brush my hair for me." The girl said while handing me a brush. I couldn't be a cruel person and say no.
"hey maid, can you draw me a dragon?" The little boy handed me a few crayons and some paper. I was going back and forth between the two and it felt like i was in a nine to five job.
"The real princess is there!" The little girl yelled and the little boy ran off with her to Na-Ra. I let out a relieved sigh and stood back up again.
I looked around and noticed Na-Ra conversing with all the children. I couldn't help myself and my eyes seemed to not let go of her.
Until she caught me.
