NA-RA

There was around 20 minutes until the sun was going to set and the light festival would begin. I had already loved the town immensely, the people and the atmosphere was something i had never experienced before.

The town knew of a princess and they definitely knew the royal family but they didn't know I was the princess and i was glad about it. It gave me a chance to meet people without having to put up a front.

"So, how do you like it so far?" Jake asked, we were sitting opposite each other on a wooden bench that was painted with flowers.

"It's wonderful i wish i had come here before." I replied while noticing a handsome  jewellery seller approaching our bench. Jake had noticed him too but he seemed... cautious?

"Hello there miss!" He greeted me with a huge smile to which i returned back, "you have a beautiful smile there as well as flattering eyes." I couldn't help but grin some more, his charms were working.

I took a glance at Jake who for some reason did not seem happy. The jeweller seller then turned to Jake, "Hello to you too." The seller then brought out his knitted bag and it opened to reveal a bunch of jewels such as brooches, bracelets, earrings and many more.
There was a beautiful emerald stone and pearl bracelet that caught my eye.

"May i?" I asked looking at seller, asking to hold it.

"Of course!" He replied delightfully. I picked up the bracelet and looked at it in awe. It was gorgeous.

"How much are you selling it for?" I asked.

He smiled before answering, "for you miss it's free of charge!"

I widened my eyes, "i couldn't, let me pay please."

"Do not pay, i insist, i can sense when a jewel was made for its owner."

Jake spoke up, "oh please you can't sense"—

The jeweller interrupted him, "and for you, i will not be selling my items for free."

I watched as the two conversed with each other and it seemed like they knew each other but i decided not to ask any questions.

The seller wrapped up his bag, "well if that's all i must be heading to my next customer." Just before he left he whispered in my ear, "i'm whispering to make him jealous because i can also sense when two people have romantic feelings for each other."

My eyes widened and the seller had already left to his next customer. Jake, who had seen everything but didn't hear the whisper lifted his eyebrows, "what did he say?"

"It's a secret" I said smiling, i then noticed everyone huddling near the pier where the light festival was going to take place, "it's starting, let's go."

Jake quickly followed after me and we found a good spot to stand so we could see the lights clearly. The sun began to set and the fairy lights wrapped around the pier bloomed.

As the sun fully set the lights reflected against the water and up into the horizon. It looked like colourful floating particles glowing against the sky. It was something i had never seen before.

I stood in awe. "It's so pretty."

JAKE

I mumbled a small "yeah." To which i'm sure she didn't hear, she was mesmerised by the view and so was I. I couldn't focus on anything else but her, the way hair soft brown hair gently flowed, the way her eyes sparkled as she looked out into the view and her dimple on her left cheek peering out.

This wasn't good. I couldn't fall for her. I wasn't of royalty.

"Oh, it's finished?" She turned to me with a pout. This was going to be hard.

"Yeah it doesn't last that long and only happens every 3 years." I said, now looking out to the horizon.

"It was beautiful. Let's come back here 3 years later?" She asked. She didn't give me time to reply, "let's go to the racetrack now?"

I was still trying to process the fact that she had said she wanted to come here again, with me. She wasn't making anything easy for me.

We had arrived to the racetrack but it wasn't the one we usually went to. "Are we at a different one?" She asked looking around, "there's no one else here?"

"You said you want to race with me, so it's just going to be us two." I said while handing her a pair of car keys, "here it's your favourite car."

She gasped softly, "you brought the cherry porsche here? Doesn't that belong to someone else?"

"It's mine but i never drove it, it's yours now." I said, "shall we get to racing then?"

She nodded her head.

"By the way we do have some people watching us." I said as i pointed to where, Heeseung, Jay, Sunghoon, Sunoo, Jungwon and Ni-ki were sitting. They waved eagerly to which Na-Ra waved back.

"What does the winner get?" Na-Ra asked as we walked to our cars and she put her hair up. This wasn't the time to get distracted.

"You can decided at the end"

We headed into our cars before wishing each other a 'good luck'.

THREE....

TWO...

ONE...

GO!

We set off at lightning speed, the adrenaline rush increasing as i pressed down on the accelerator, i was a little ahead of her. I looked at my side view mirror and her car was nowhere to be seen.

All of a sudden i felt a rush of wind and cherry red porsche zoom past me, i looked out to the side where we both made eye contact. It reminded me of the first day we raced.

"see you at the finish line!" She smiled and sped off.

I was dazed and it was too late when i had realised what she said. I soon pulled up after her where everyone was congratulating her. Once we were both alone i congratulated her, "have you decided on what you want then?"

She thought for a moment,

"you."
