NA-RA

We were just leaving the racetrack when i noticed Belle with Heeseung. They seemed close, like super close. "Hey Jake," I unknowingly tugged on his arm, "are Heeseung and Belle dating?"

He looked at me and laughed, "what's so funny?" I asked, condescendingly.

"You didn't know? Heeseung has been in love with Belle since like forever, she used to come to your house... she's also part of a royal family." He whispered the last part.

I was stunned, Heeseung was chasing after a girl! And she used to come to the castle? Why cant i remember!

"Come, we should go." Jake said, "you need to eat and sleep." I nodded my head because i was in fact hungry, as we were leaving Belle passed a quick wave to me to which i returned.

As I sat down inside the car i didn't want to go home straight away, "Jake, do you know any good restaurants? I don't want to go home yet."

Jake looked at me through the rear view mirror, "it's not a restaurant but more like a cafe, the food there is really good." He quickly looked at the time on his watch, "it should still be open now."

It was a bit silly of me, but i was slightly excited since i had never done this before and secretly smiled to myself hoping he didn't notice.

We had arrived to the cafe and it was stunning. It was lit up with fairy lights which gave it a beautiful golden glow. As we headed inside the decor was filled with flowers, it was absolutely beautiful and it gave a warm feeling.

"Jake!" An elderly female called out who i assumed was the cafe owner, "it's so nice to see you here again." She turned to look at me with the biggest smile on her face it was so adorable, "you've brought a friend!"

"Can i get you your usual?" She asked. Jake turned to look at me.

"Is that fine with you Na-Ra?" He asked softly.

"Of course it is, i'll have whatever you're having." I replied.

As our food orders were being prepared, Jake spoke, "that's Mrs Han, she's the cafe owner, i used to come here every day during high school which is why we know each other." Jake explained.

"You haven't brought Heeseung here?" I asked since they had been childhood friends.

"No, i guess you're the lucky one."

Just then, our food had arrived and it smelt delicious as well as its appearance. It was an authentic ramen broth with complimentary side dishes. I took the first bite and it was everything i had imagined.

"so how do you like it?" Jake asked, waiting for my answer.

"I see why you came here everyday now!" I replied and he smiled. We ate our dinner and continued talking about anything and everything.

JAKE

I didn't want this moment to end. I gazed at her as she told me all sorts of different stories, and i had noticed that every time she would smile there would only be one dimple showing on her left cheek.

We had finished eating our food and were just having conversations. "Wait here, i'll be back okay?" I said to her as i noticed Mrs Han calling me to come over.

"Okay."

I went over to Mrs Han who was grinning at me, "here take this for you both, it's on the house." She said handing me a plate of tiramisu. "You like her don't you?" She said catching me off guard as i took the plate.

My smile had probably given my answer.

"How long have you known her?" Mrs Han asked.

"since childhood but she doesn't remember."

"I really hope it works out for you Jake, oh and keep bringing her here." Mrs Han said as she also gave a small wink. I smiled and nodded and headed back to our table.

"So we got free tiramisu!"  We talked some more while i told her a few stories of when i used to frequently come to the cafe. Soon it was time to leave and Na-Ra was thanking Mrs Han for the food.

"make sure to come back again!" Mrs Han called out.

We both got inside the car and the drive was quiet, not an uncomfortable quiet. I noticed Na-Ra looking out the window in deep thought.

"Hey Jake, do you think my family would hate me if i wanted to leave the royal family?" I was slightly stunned because this was the last thing i expected her to ask.

I was silent for too long and she had noticed it, "yeah... they probably would." She said.

I looked at her through the mirror, "they wouldn't hate you." I tried reassuring her, "besides, you'll always have me."

She smiled, and it was a genuine smile because i saw her small dimple peeping out.

"let's race together tomorrow."
