~Few days later~
We were at the beach, it was a quiet evening and we both needed some fresh air. Well, she has been studying too much, fair enough since her semester exams are also approaching, though there's time of nearly two months for that, par syllabus vast hota ha na so. And about me, well I have exams too and moreover the surgeries and rounds and opds are quite hectic. (The syllabus is vast so.)
Get into medicine and then spend your entire life giving exams and just exams. This is actually what happens. The damn reality.
The beach was less crowded as usual and we were standing in the sand, with she holding my biceps. This is her thing. She loves holding my bicep somehow. Just like how I love playing with her hair and her fingers. The soft breeze were blowing her hair, and though tired she still looked as pretty as she looks everyday.
I could see the dark circles under her eyes that have accentuated over the past few days. I can't even tell her to rest, because I myself do know that here, in medicine, hardwork is the only way of survival. But I do make sure that I make her to take some time out in the name of us, so that she doesn't stress too much.
I looked at her. How is it that everytime I look at her, I practically forget to blink?
She gave me her soft smile as she turned to look at me, mesmerizing me beyond my senses. I am sure enough, that the blush on her face is a response to my constant gazing. But I can't help it. I just can't look away from her.
Just then I heard a voice. Somebody behind us called us, rather her out. We both turned to look who it was.
“Anshuman.”, I heard her mutter.
“Hello, Shri! “, that idiot said in a disgusting tone, as he came forward to shake hands with my Shri.
Can I punch him already?
Shri just stared as his hand as she corrected him, “Shrinidhi.” His hand remained extended and unattended.
Well, that's my girl.
“Pata hai,Pata hai.. Tumhe Shri sirf tumhare kareebi bula sakte hai, par.. Shayad tum bhul gayi ho, mei toh tumhara sabse kareebi tha na! ", he said as he began taking steps towards Shri . (I know..I know.. Only your close ones can call you Shri, but I think you have forgotten it, at a point I was the most closest one to you na?)
“What nonsense! “, Shri shouted. But before he could approach her more, I came in between, halting his steps right in front of me. “Ooh ho.. Kya hai bhai? Tu hai kon! “, he said in a sarcastic tone. (Ohh ho.. What is it bro? Who are you!)
I'll make him drink concentrated sulfuric acid , sara ka sara sarcasm bahar nikal jayega.
Nevertheless, I chose to ignore, since I was already very angry with his words, his presence. And I knew it very well that if my bridge of anger broke than this guy will beg me for his life. I already have an unexplainable rage against him for what he did to Shri and this interaction is only adding to my anger.
