~A month later~
He snuggled into my lap as I caressed his hair. "Kartik! Comeon, you have to leave! ", I reminded him, as I softly ran my hand in his locks. " I hate my job! ", he muttered frustratingly, as he got up. " Shu! Aisa nahi kehte! ", I quickly placed my hand over his mouth. He kissed my palm. This man! " I know. But I don't even get to spend enough time with you! ", he complained like a baby. My baby. (Shu. Don't say so.)
I just shrugged my shoulders. Yes, it was true. We seriously don't get much time together.
" Umm, let's go somewhere, this Saturday! ", I suggested. " You have to go home na, Shri! ", he said in a duh tone. " Arey, I'll go on Sunday na! That'll be fine. ", I said. " You sure? ", he again questioned as he stood up and extended his hand for me to get up. I quickly placed my hand in his as I got up, nodding frantically. " Thik hai, then! Saturday it is! ", his big bright smile that makes my heart flutter so steadily was back, as he said that.
Suddenly he pulled me over his chest, as he laid his lips over mine. Kissing me, though he let go of it easily than he would usually, seeing in terms that we were in an open place, but still the touch of his lips on mine lingered.
He held my hand as I held my bag in the other and we walked out. As we reached the corridors having the people around, I quickly pulled my hand out of his hold, giving him a sheepish smile I began walking in my way. He too smiled.
But, yeah, did I tell you that I sent him a flying kiss when I was a meter away from him or so, and he blushed. Legit blushed. Arghhh!! This man drives me insane.
~Sunday~
“ Kartik!! Come naah! “, I again coaxed. “ No Shri. No. Not happening. Not at all! “, he again began as he walked into the hallway from the bedroom. “ Kartik. Please. Please naah! Pretty please! “, I pouted for a while, as I followed him too.
Well,I didn't go home neither on Saturday nor on Sunday as well, kyuki ek toh mera maan nahi tha, dusra mere Kartik ke sath thoda time spend karna tha, and the most important reason, maa-baba aur meri choti behen ek relative ke yaha shadi ke liye gaye the toh mei ghar mei akeli kya hi karti. So in all, the universe wanted me to spend some time with my Kartik.
(Because I didn't have the heart to, secondly I wanted to spend some time with Kartik. And the most important reason, maa-baba and my little sister went for a wedding of a distant relative. So what would have I done alone at home.)
