Sometimes I ask myself,
Is it worth it?
Leaving one thing for another.
Oh! How beautiful is the setting sun.
But what about the rising dawn?
Feels like I'm a promoted queen,
Which once was a struggling pawn.
I want to drown beneath the blues,
The deep, deep blue, desolate sea,
Empty skies, Forgotten dreams,
Heavy sighs.
Weight of the world on our shoulders,
The crimson sunset dies.
The thunder shatters lives.
Lies. All lies.
Retrospective lies.
The emerald, poisoned dye.
The pearly dewy life,
The story of our lives,
The twisted tangled wines,
They want me want to whine.
They have made me cry,
Oh! A performer? Was I?
How can I deny?
When in this journey,
I've lost myself ,
And found what was meant to be mine.
