It was a beautiful delusion,
The memories we made
Now my mind is like a scrambled up slate
Your presence made me that way.
The aroma of the clay,
When it rains,
You smelled like mine that way,
You came in and then you went away.
But we were beautiful anyway
Just like the sun's rays
Never seem to be touching the clouds so grey
The illusion of your touch
It lingered and it stayed.
I hate it,
But we were beautiful anyway.
Just like the withering petals of a flower
Seem to hate parting ways
I try my best to go slower
Cherish your memories before they fade.
Because they were beautiful anyway.
We were like an impending apocalypse,
We crashed,
We burned,
We met and I said goodbye
But we were beautiful anyway.
