Chapter 35: Adopting a child

Has anyone thought about why Ramia is named Ramia in the first place. My idea is that she's after Ramen noodles.

Life was getting to boring it had been 2 years since she had a fight with Emery and fled back to the Forbidden Cites, Phoenix needed something to do and her idea was to adopt a child. She had got 1 billion dollars out of the ATM and been surprised that there had been that much money in the machine. Today was the day that she would go choose a kid to adopt.

Phoenix's POV
She entered the child adoption centre and walked up to the front desk where a red head with hazel eyes and a suit on sat. The man looked up at her.
"Hello, I'm looking to adopt a child"
"Well you've come to the right place, this way please"

4 hours later she had signed papers and stuff and had adopted a child. William was a 5 year old with baby blue with gold flecked eyes, chocolate brown hair, a cute little smile, his ears were the cutest though they were a tiny bit pointed and 103 cm in height. They walked out of the adoption centre hand in hand. They crossed the street and walked over to a car park where her black jeep was parked.

She lifted William up into a car seat with dark blue lines and strapped him in. She then got into the drivers seat and started the engine. They drove to the L. A safe house and she parked the car into the underground garage. She picked William up seeming he had fallen asleep on the 3 hour road trip and went inside to a spare bedroom and set him down on the bed letting him sleep. She walked up to her office and conjured anything that might be in her letter draw back in Sydney. 2 letters fell into her lap she opened one of them up.

Dear Phoenix,
I know you most likely won't open this seeming you don't want to come back and not have any communication with elves. But I'll write this anyway. Emery is in an a coma, he's staying in the healing centre and has been for quite some time we are starting to loose hope that he will ever wake up again . Elwin can't seem to wake him up even though his tried all the elixirs that were used to wake you up in the past. Kenric has became the spokesman for the council in place of Emery. The rest of the council is suspecting that you are dead by now but I believe otherwise. I'm sorry on behalf of the council of all the things that we have done to ruin your life. I'm sure you hate us for the things we did. Every thing else in the lost cites is calm and peaceful well except for the new rebel alliance Force 3. They haven't attacked yet but it's a matter of time before they do. We are strong and always ready to fight, all the other species are also ready to fight at our sides.

She grabbed the second letter and teared it open.

So I was able to conjure the last letter back but I'm not going to say that you are dead the rest of the council has enough shit on their backs at the moment. Unfortunately Emery woke up last weekend, he's already ordering us around like a maniac and he's taken his position as spokesman back. He now wants to send out a search party to kill you something called the 'Crypto gang' they are all a heap of dumbies. So I doubt they will be able to find you even with the most high quality tech. They look might they might be the old drooly boys from foxfire 40 or something years ago. Jolie has finally got back to her old self. meaning there has been about 3 balls this year already, even though we are only in August. Also your bodyguards are pretty boring they stay at home doing nothing, well except for Tilly she's always out in the garden making some sort of food or a new song.
