Chapter 11: 62 years

Jolie's POV
(I forgot to add her POV so we're going back to when Phoenix takes Jolie home and I am going to change up some of the script so it won't be te exact same as the other chapter)

She followed Phoenix up to the reception hall and entered the room it was completely different it had been transformed into a bedroom. She looked at the bed there sitting on it was her parents and her mum was crying into her dad's arms. Her dad looked up he was shocked.

"Who is that with you Phoenix"
"It's your daughter Jolie, she's been in an old neverseen hideout all these years" well it had been about 62 years. Her mum looked up at her and jumped out of Grady's arms and ran over to her and gave her a massive hug then she released her and hugged Phoenix. Grady got up and came and gave her a massive hug he released her.
"Is it really you"well who else would it be
"It's really me Im alive"
Grady turned and looked at Phoenix who was currently in the corner.
"So this is why you left"this makes no sense at all. Phœnix started talking.

"Kenric is alive as well he's talking to the council. I had to threaten to kill Emery before he decided It would be better to let me free than kill another person especially a councillor but I was joking but he still let me free. They're not running for me anymore, it was an exiting mission" she said it all rather dulley who goes on a mission and than just says it like she's telling us what she had for breakfast.
"Come over here Phoenix" he said it rather softly wow when was he a softy they hugged.
"Thankyou for bringing her back safely" he was nearly whispering.
"Never knew he was that soft" she mumbled. Phoenix and her mum tried to Keep back their laughter but failed.
"There's a lot that you don't know about him" phoenix told her in-between laughs.
"Excuse me" Phoenix said and politely left.
"A lot has changed I see" Jolie said
"Yes, to many things" agreed Grady. The door opened and Phoenix told Grady and Eda that she had to go to Foxfire to talk to Magnet Leto.

"Wait is he the principal I thought dame Alina was"
"She was but then she was elected as councillor when Kenric 'died' and then Magnet Leto was promoted to the position of principal. And then about 2 years ago I killed Alina, stabbed her in the heart with a baby dagger by accident, that's why I left" wow nevever knew she was that powerful she hated dame Alina anyway.
"Ok that makes a lot more sense now"
"Got to go I don't want to be lectured for being late" and with that Phoenix clicked her fingers and she was gone.

"I can't believe your really back" her mum whispered
"I can't either i thought I was going to be stuck there forever"
"62 years" Grady mumbled to himself
"So what happened after I left" both of her parents faces paled they now looked like ghosts.
"The first 16 years we hid ourselves from society. Then we became Sophie Fosters guardians she was taken captive as well as Dexter Dizznee in the first year of looking after her we thought they was dead but then they came back and new abilities from the black swan. Summing up half her teenage years it was filled with tribunals and near death. Her watching people die, we ended up defeating the Neverseen. Then she had a kid with Fitz. But she had every ability which had never been explained to us. So yeah that's a sum up of what happened in 62 years" Edaline finished off.

"Wow she's gone through a lot"
"One more thing Phoenix and Sophie they're literally twins always in the healing centre. Can't even count how many bones they've broken. Or say how big their medical files are".
Jolie just stood there dumbstruck of how many things had happened and how clumsy the two of them are.

Sophie's POV (we are going back to when Sophie runs away and is talking to Queen Nubiti)
"You should go back home it's getting dark"
"I guess it's time to face reality" she hugged Nubiti and then she started sprinting and imaged just outside of Oralie's castle. There was a big boom as  she teleported to Ora's she walked up to the door and took a deep breathe and opened the door and closed it and went up to Phoenix's room she walked in Kenric was standing against the wall, Oralie was at Phoenix's side holding her right hand and mumbling something, Ro wasn't there anymore she must have gone home, Bronte was leaning against the wall next to Kenric, Fitz was sitting in a chair next to Phoenix, Elwin was still sitting in phoenix's gaming chair, Tiergan was sitting in the corner on Phoenix's reading chair that was right next to her bookshelf. They didn't even notice that she had entered the room so she went and stood next to Kenric and she transmitted to him.

"Hey I'm sorry about what I said, can we have a conversation in your mind just nod if I can enter your mind" he gave her a small nod. She entered his mind.

"It's not your fault Sophie I was just stumped for words"
"I ended up going to a beach where Queen Nubiti of the dwarfs found me, has the councillors told the rest of the elves"
"Not yet but they're sending out scrolls tomorrow morning"
"Ok"great the news about her is going to be everywhere
"Why don't u and Tiergan go figure out how to make your mind stronger"
"Yeah alright talk to you later" she exited his mind and went over to Tiergan.

"Tiergan shall we go and figure out things with my mind strength" he looked up and nodded they went down stairs and out the door.
"We'll go to my place" she nodded and he grabbed out his home crystal and created a light beam he held out his hand and she grabbed it and they stepped into te light and leaped to Solreef. They walked up the path and entered his house and then they walked down a couple hallways when they eventually got to his office they entered Tiergan sat down behind his desk and Sophie sat down on the chair in front of the desk. She looked down at his desk she saw something that she hadn't seen in many years. The sparkly pink paper from her old journal that the black swan had ripped out the last 3 pages of it.

"You kept that after all these years" she said pointing at the paper
"Yes I did, I couldn't let myself throw it away" he just starred at it like it was the most beautiful thing in the world
"But let's not get of track" he said while starting to look up "from what Elwin has told me you're going to have to stay in her mind for 3-5 minutes we have to get you up to that, I say you can already stay in her mind for at least 2 minutes. Dex and Kesler have made a liquid that will act as if you were really in her mind and hold up 2 fingers when you want it to stop so I can give you the antidote" she nodded he handed her the vial 🧪. She opened the lid and chugged it down.

Tiergan was right it felt like she was in a broken mind. The liquid was sending her millions of images of guilt, trying to make her drown in it but she kept on putting images of all her happy memories but in one of them she saw Phoenix. It put a massive hole in her defence system guilt started pouring in to her mind she couldn't stand it any longer it was to painful she put up two fingers. The images in her head cleared she opened her eyes she was on the floor sweating like crazy. Tiergan was on his knees he looked worried.
"How  long did I last"
"3 minutes" she groaned this is going to take forever
"Hey that's much better than anyone else has lasted"
"Yeah but I'm not normal you were one of the people that designed me"
"I was also one of the creators of Phoenix but really I hardly helped the black swan with it"
"Yeah I guess so"
"You're going to have mastered 5 minutes quickly but I think we should go find Elwin because you look extremely pale" she nodded and they leaped back to Oralie's castle. They went back up, to find they had all barely moved a muscle except for Oralie and Fitz who were fast asleep.

"Hey Elwin you've got another patient" Tiergan said everyone's head turned except the sleepy heads to look at Tiergan and Sophie. Elwin got up they went down to the lounge room and she sat down on one of the arm chairs.
"So how long did she last Tiergan"
"3 minutes"
"Impressive"
"But something broke her concentration" they just looked at each other.
"You two do realise I'm right here in front of you I can hear everything you're saying" they looked at her
"So what broke your concentration" Elwin asked as he flashed an orange orb around her head.
"Memories of Phoenix when she was quiet young" they both nodded "if I focus enough and have got heaps of energy I can probably get to 5 maybe 6 minutes" Elwin chuckled
"I don't why I still get surprised even knowing that you could order the council if you wanted to" he ment it as a joke but for some reason it hurt her.
