Chapter 13: An experiment

It had been a couple of days since Phoenix's mind was fixed. Today she was going over to Oscar's house.

Phoenix's POV
She leaped to Oscar's house and entered. Then she went straight up to his room she knocked on the door.
"Come in" she opened the door and saw Oscar was sitting by his window. She went over and sat next to him.
"I think it's time to tell you how I have so many abilities" he looked up at her.
"My mum couldn't have a baby, it's not how her genes were made to do. So she talked to Mr Forkle about it. He said that they would be able to do it but they would tweak some of me. So he did that and took DNA from mum and Fitz . He tampered with it a lot so I would have all these abilities and have heaps of Power and an impenetrable mind and a photographic memory and a heap more shit. That's why I'm so weird"
"You are not Weird Phoenix, tell me that you are not weird"
"Not going to happen"
"Please"
"Nope"
"What if I kissed you"
"Still no, none of your bargaining is going to work"
"You sure" he stepped closer and kissed her, she pushed him away.
"This isn't going to work Oscar if your dream is for me to tell you that I'm not weird it's not going to happen, so I don't want to be your girlfriend if that's all you want"
"Ok ok I won't hassle you with it"
"You chose the right thing" she got up.
"Where do you think your going"
"To talk to the councillors, they want to speak with me that might become public knowledge apparently" he nodded.
"One more thing before you leave" he got up and kissed her.

Then she left the room and down the stairs and out the door from there she teleported to just outside the seat of eminence. She hadn't been here for a while she entered with the clearance she had been granted for the day. She went straight to where the councillors said they would be 200 steps away from the entrance. She walked 200 steps she saw the council walk towards her she didn't even bother to curtsy she just stood her ground.

"Why aren't you bowing or curtsying" Ramia asked rather annoyed. She just looked Ramia up and down.
"Fucking nobels thinking they have control over the most powerful elf  in the Elvin society" she mumbled
"I think that's something we both share in common Phoenix" Bronte said amused

"Can we get to why we're even here" Emery said very annoyed the rest of the council nodded except Ora and Kenric.
"We would like to give you a place Phoenix as a regent but also a keeper"
"Um are you joking the kid that killed a councillor and has threatened to kill another one and has played a million pranks on you guys, you're just forgetting about that and asking me to be regent and a keeper have you lost your mind Emery" Oralie went pale as a ghost along with Bronte but Emery obviously didn't notice but Liora and Kenric did and whispered to them both.

"No I haven't lost my mind Phoenix" his temper was going up along with his emotions they were sky rocketing.
"I guess you like my proper name to keep on calling me it" she grinned at him.
"No, I know that you can kill anyone with a click of your fingers and I do not underestimate you"
"So time to tell us do you or not want to join the council as a regent at our side and keeper you will get a lot more information"
She glanced over at Bronte, Oralie and Kenric they wanted her to join.
"Why should I do this Emery tell me, tell me why you want me and not someone else"
"Because we need you, the Elvin world needs you"
"I better not regret this decision, Yes I accept but on one term"
"And what exactly is that"
"That I'm allowed to visit the Forbidden Cites and not be tracked because I know you've had dwarf's following me around I can feel their presence"

" I think we can allow that. But one more thing you won't be starting work until you finish year 3 in a couple weeks"
"Sure thing so when do you want me to hand over my circlet and cache"
"WHEN DID YOU GET A CIRCLET AND A CACHE!!" Emery roared. Kenric was on the verge of laughter.
"Tell me when did I become a conjurer and a tecnopath" she asked softly
"4 year old" he told her still fuming mad
"Piece it together, I made them when I was 8 and they're much better than yours" she conjured them up. A Gold circlet with a red ruby and her cache that had 4 crystals. The whole inter council look amazed at her work.

"What do you think, I also made a heap more stuff"
"You did?"
"Yep, I used my pyrokinetic abilities a bit too". She looked at Oralie she looked very pale.
"You are dismissed Phoenix" Emery finished with. Oralie started walking away to her office and the rest of the council just stood there watching Phoenix.

She just walked after Oralie and then jogged up to her.
"Oralie I'm sorry about what I said"
"No it's not your fault" she squeezed Oralie's hand and hugged her tight. The council was still watching her.
"I'll talk to you later" she whispered and turned and walked right past the council without even showing them a bit of interest that they were there.

She pushed open the grand entrance door and it shut behind. she decided to take a walk through town. There were whispers about her but she ignored them but then she heard one comment.
"She's not even a real elf how else would she have every ability" it broke her heart she just starred at the elf the said it. The elf eventually noticed her glare and scuttled off. She kept on walking until she got to the river and sat down against one of the pures. The rush of the water was calming she sat there for a while until she heard footsteps. She looked around it was Oralie.

"You choose the most obvious places to sit but no one can ever find you" Oralie commented
"Is it that obvious though?"
"Yes it is, it's the reason your mum found you so quickly in the library"
"You know what else is obvious Ora"
"What?"
"How much the rest of the council hates me". Oralie laughed
"I'm gonna go home now"
"And what your going to get read a million books in the library or go for a swim"
"More like both of those, oh and before I forget me and mum are going to hold a pool party when I finish year 3 or maybe a ball in the grand hall. I think we should do the ball". Oralie smiled
"You're never going to change are you"
"Pretty much"

She grabbed out her home pendant and stepped into the light and arrived at The Castle they had named it Hallowmist. She walked towards the lounge where her mum was sitting. Sophie looked over at her.
"So have you choosen Phoenix which party you want" with a smile on her face.
"Yes, I've chosen the the ball in the grand hall"
"So do you want to make the invitation list for me so I can out the invitations"
"Of course" she conjured up some paper and a pen and started writing.

" i think that's everyone that I want to invite" she double checked the list everyone was there.
"Cool Della and Biana can help us decorate and I'm sure Edaline, Jolie and Oralie can help us cook all the food" the grand hall is going to look like a scene from a movie with those two helping us.
