Chapter 34: The new base

And unfortunately Oralie never got pregnant so no big banishment from the council and no exiling her or Kenric. Very disappointing ...

Phoenix's POV
The ocean was calm crashing against the beach. Jet skies revved their engines and gliding across the ocean. She sat down on the soft beige sand taking in the magpies singing, the ocean and all the other beautiful things around her. She picking up a teal shard of sea glass, the glass was smooth and smelled strongly of the salty ocean. She conjured a beach towel lying down against the sand looking up into the sky watching clouds pass by. The sun was starting to set and the water looked stunning with oranges, reds, pinks, purples and yellows. Her worries disappeared but they quickly returned.

Oralie had tried to warn her about Emery but she hadn't listened. Emery had tried to kill her with a punch that if she hadn't moved it would have killed her. She still had to see if Oralie was ok but not yet, she would do it later when she could bring herself to do it. She starred out into the abyss ahead of her, the sky never ended...

Phoenix sat on the beach until it started getting too cold and dark. She teleported herself to one of her secret bases that was located next to a random ocean, that was also on the edge of a mountain. There wasn't much except for spy gear, pool and 2 bedrooms.

She sat down on her bed that she would be spending a bit on and conjured her imparter hailing none other than Oralie. Oralie picked up, Kenric and Bronte were sitting behind her.
"What did you do this time"
"Ahhh, well you see I kinda knocked Emery unconscious before he could kill me with a punch that's supposed to be able to kill in one swing. So, ahhh, yeah I guess that's what kind of happened" Kenric and Bronte stared at her dumb struck. Oralie didn't look a tiny bit phased or surprised by this information.
"Casual day almost killing somebody I see" Oralie said rather duly
"Ahh, pretty much, spot on Ora" she sighed as the boys just looked even more dumb struck
"You two act if we're not trying to kill each other every two seconds" she said to the other two councillors.
"It shouldn't shock me but it still does, we're probably going to have company soon of the other councillors and most likely Elwin" Bronte said
"I'll leave you 3 to annoy them and tell them that the public will know about this. Emery had someone personally deliver a scroll and he saw Emery's lip all bloody, also with blood all over him. He was also holding his stomach after I kicked him pretty hard in the gut. The messenger ran away from the office in seconds"
"Well what else would they do stand there expecting that they will be un hurt"

"Bye, bye you three. Have a good afternoon, also I won't be contacting anyone from now on it's to risky. Hope you guys have a good life and Ora can you tell mum one thing"
"Of course"
"Tell her that don't come looking for me, if you do you will be in grave danger" Oralie nodded

She ended the call and conjured Oscar's old diary that she hadn't gotten around to. She opened it up, everything was written in cipher runes that only a handful of elves could read.

6th of August
I'm starting this journal/ diary because Phoenix someone that I've always liked and been friends with has left for I have no clue for, well yet. She always been in my life since we were young my mother was is the same age as Sophie Foster. I miss Phoenix she's already been gone for 2 months. The council has tried to find her they also think I'm apart of Phoenix's plan.

She skipped a heap of pages until the last entry in the book that was only written a few days before his death.

I have learnt something and I'm in grave danger if you're reading this long after my death. You need to know Emery and Zarnia aren't who you think they are. They are apart of something much bigger than just members of the council. They are apart of a new rebel alliance called Force 3. The Force 3 members are former members of The Neverseen. This is how the Neverseen had always been 10 steps ahead the information had been given to them by their spies. The only reason for the defeat of the Neverseen is that is what they wanted to think that the council had everything under control. Force 3 are coming they are trying to find how to kill me, they have realised that I know things about them and that I will do anything to get them into Exile. I already know that they are going to kill me and theres no way to stop it. And if this is Phoenix that is reading this, I'm sorry for dying, I hope this is the information that you needed and I will always be by your side every step of the way. Just so you know they will do anything to kill Phoenix.

She slammed the book shut as she heard a massive boom of volume from outside. She opened the door, her mother was standing there she appeared to have taken her registry pendent off.
"What are you doing here, are you trying to get yourself killed mum"
"No, I just needed to see you and tell you how much I love you. The news about Emery spread very quickly. Everyone knows about it"
"You need to go back, it's not safe anymore. Go into hiding if you need"
"Why though, what's not safe Phoenix"
"There is a new group called Force 3 and they will do anything to kill me" her mum nodded
"Just stay safe and don't get killed"
"Of course"her mum pulled out her home crystal and lept home.

She went back inside falling backwards onto her bed. She snuggled up in some blankets and fell into a deep sleep.

Alright well I kinda got bored of typing so instead of typing I made a meme for absolutely no reason except to annoy my unfans KotLC friends with.
