Chapter 5: The Lost Cites

Phoenix's POV
She was woke up by someone ripping her blankets off she looked up it was Cam of course it is
"Oy what was that for"she asked rather annoyed
"Well if you looked at the time it's 12pm"
"What it's 12 and you didn't think about waking me up before"
"Just kidding it's only 9:30am but that fear on your face was very pleasing but it's seams like you have something important to today unlike every other day" she raised her eyebrows at Cam

"So you think planing break ins isn't important"
"I've been your bodyguard since you were 1 I've gone through a lot" Phoenix just sighed
"And to answer your first questioning do have something important to do today. I'm going to the Lost Cites to see a old friend that already knows I'm here I'm going to be spending the day there and on my orders you are not to come with me if you wish though you can go prank the councillors there spending the day at the sanctuary pretty sure to learn more about Councillor Clarets love for animals" a huge grin spread over Cam's face
"Just tell Charlie that I'm doing some top secret thing and that you're going back to Ravagog for the day and that he can go to Gildingham and do what ever he wants as long as only his parents and the queen see him otherwise he's going to be pranked in some of the worst ways"
"Ov course my fearful Phoenix" cam's face looked like she had just come up with the best mater plan ever I hope I don't regret my decision.

She got up and went over to her wardrobe and picked out a dark blue tunic with gold embroidery, some comfy black pants,black boots, a green cape with emerald embroidery and her Phoenix pin and chocker. Then she teleported to Oscar's house she had found a way to teleport without making a massive crack. Her new way of teleporting made it silent she just had to click her fingers and think of where she wanted to go. She approached the front door and nocked 20 seconds past there was shuffling behind the door and the door opened, there stood Oscar she stepped up to him and hugged him he hugged back and then released her.
"Hey Phoenix I missed you" he said softly
"Me to"she replied just as softly
"Come in" she followed Oscar in, his mum was in the kitchen baking Mellomelt Lexi lifted her head
"Hey Phoenix, Oscar told me about you coming over and it's ok your secret is safe with me. I think you need to be filled in whats been happening around here" why does this feel so strange but despite her thoughts.
"Hello Lexi, It would be nice knowing whats been happening" truthfully she hadn't been caring what was happening around the lost cites.Lexi started talking
"Well as soon as you left the council had scrolls sent out talking about the death of Alina but they didn't say who killed her but I believe you know something about that seeming ur face looks pale a ghost, and in those same scrolls they had information about you leaving and if anyone knew where you had gone or had any ideas on your whereabouts they had to report it to the council. They've been looking for you since then ur mum hasn't left her house, Oralie and Bronte have looked pretty sad and Elwin and Mr Forkel look like they're about to crumble from guilt and your father well he's him he's just been yelling his head of when I've seen him. Grady and Edaline haven't been seen by the public either since you left they left their jobs and Adlen and Della well I don't think you know how much you mean to them"

Alexia Talbot's POV
"So can you tell me what you know about Alina's death" she was very interested in what Phoenix knew about this particular topic
"I killed her, i unleashed my anger on her before I knew it I had conjured a dagger and stabbed her in the heart" it explained why the council wanted her so bad and why she was wearing a emerald green cloak but she didn't stop there Phoenix kept on going " Oralie and Bronte came to get me because Ora had left me with Alina because she had to do stuff and she was coming back to pick me up to go to the meeting about me pranking them on my first day of school year and she ended up picking me up and taking me to foxfire and talked to Max my cousin before almost running to the healing centre where Magnet Leto, Max and Elwin were waiting for my arrival and then after she put me down on the bed with mine and mums photo above it I kind of blanked out" Lexi was stunned how much has she gone through what ever it is it would have to been very very big.

Phoenix's POV
"I'm going to go talk to Oscar now" Lexi just nodded and she walked up the stairs to Oscar's room he was trailing behind her.
"Why did you leave"
"Because I wasn't safe around here and I have a mission that I need to finish" Oscar looked sad but he just nodded
"So when are you going to come back"
"Not for another year or two, I had no other choice but to leave"
"What's your mission please can you tell me maybe I can help"
"You can't help me but I will tell you one thing, I'm breaking into exile to find people to figure out where some people that are thought to be dead are" Oscar just looked puzzled she turned to leave
"Where are you going" Oscar's voice was fragile but soft
"I need to talk to someone"
"Please don't go I only just got to see you"
"I'm sorry but it's kind of urgent" Oscar looked like he was going to cry so she stepped up to him
"It's ok Ozzie I'll come see you again but it will just be another day" she said rather soft he just looked up
"Just one more thing before you leave" he stepped closer to her and kissed her. They pulled apart
"Love you Ozzie we can chat later if you want, goodbye" and then she left she was going to go find her mum and talk to her. She teleported over to the castle and entered the big wooden doors that looked like the doors In Harry Potter from the entrance hall. She walked down the towards her mums room and opened the door Sophie was sitting by the window crying.

Sophie's POV
She heard someone open the door
"Go away Fitz"
"It's not Fitz" the voice sounded so familiar she looked up and couldn't believe her eyes there standing infront of her stood her daughter
"Is it really you Phoenix" Phoenix nodded her head. Sophie got up and went and hugged her
"I can't believe your actually here"
"I can only stay for a little bit and then I have to go back into hiding I've got stuff that I need to do, I'm sorry that I left"
"It wasn't your fault, but when and am I going to see you again" Phoenix looked down
"Not for a year or two" Not for a year or Two!! Why is she doing this. Well at least it's better than never seeing her again"
"I'm sorry mum but I need to go" then she just left Sophie crumpled back down to the ground.
