Ling's POV

As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted with a sharp, sarcastic question from Bright, his eyes narrowing at me from across the room. "Are you finally insane?" he asked, his tone laced with incredulity and frustration.

I frowned, not quite understanding what he was getting at. "What do you mean?" My voice was cautious, but my confusion was genuine.

"I saw you kissing Orm," he said bluntly, watching for my reaction. A smirk tugged at my lips, unable to suppress the warmth that spread through my chest at the memory of the kiss.

"And I saw you with that girl in the dressing room," I countered smoothly, my voice steady as I revealed my trump card.

Bright's expression shifted from accusatory to panicked. His hands flew to his head, raking through his hair in a mix of shock and dismay. "Wait, really? Oh, shit," he muttered, realizing the gravity of the situation. "Did Orm see it as well?" There was a note of desperation in his voice.

"Almost," I said, crossing my arms. "But you're lucky to have me as your sister. I distracted her before she could see anything."

He let out a sigh of relief, gratitude washing over him as he muttered, "Thank you."

But I wasn't about to let him off that easily. I stepped closer, my voice firm as I gave him a hard look. "It's not over, Bright. You'll tell Orm what you did."

Bright's shoulders slumped in defeat, the weight of the situation settling heavily on him. "Okay," he agreed in a resigned tone, knowing there was no way out of this.

Our conversation was interrupted by a knock at the door. Bright and I exchanged a look—a silent challenge, almost playful, yet tinged with tension. We both knew who was on the other side of that door, and in a moment of sibling rivalry, we bolted from the stairs, racing each other to reach it first.

I won by a hair, my hand landing on the doorknob just before his. I opened it with a triumphant grin, only for my breath to catch in my throat at the sight of Orm standing there, her lips curling into a smirk as she took in the sight of me. "Did you run just to see me?" she teased, her voice light and playful.

But her expression changed the instant she noticed Bright standing behind me. Her smirk faded into a neutral mask, though I could see the flicker of emotion in her eyes. "Hey babe, can I talk to you?" Bright asked, his voice soft, almost pleading.

Orm barely spared him a glance as she looped her arm through mine, her grip possessive. "Actually, no. I want to be with Ling," she said, her tone leaving no room for argument.

We turned and headed up the stairs, but not before I threw Bright a smug, satisfied smile, adding a teasing wink just to rub it in.

...

Later, as we settled into my bedroom, the tension that had been hanging in the air dissipated, replaced by a comfortable silence. Orm and I were lying on my bed, her head resting against my chest as we watched a movie on my laptop. But I wasn't really paying attention to the screen. My mind kept wandering back to the first time Orm had slept over at my place.

I couldn't stop thinking about that moment when I had walked in on her in the bathroom, wrapped in nothing but a towel. The image of water dripping from her shoulders, sliding down her thighs, was seared into my brain. My heart started to race, heat pooling in my chest as I remembered how she had looked at me—innocent, yet so undeniably tempting.

As if sensing my sudden change in mood, Orm reached up and gently took my hand in hers. She started to caress it with her thumb, the soothing motion grounding me, helping me push the distracting thoughts aside. But just as I began to relax, the door to my room swung open, and Bright stood there, looking a bit lost.
