I ended up waking at around 7 pm. It felt like I had jet lag considering I knew that I wouldn't be getting any sleep tonight.
The large t shirt (Luke's) I was wearing had slipped off one shoulder, exposing my white bra strap. I trudged into the guest bathroom, closing the cream colored door.
It was small, but not as small as the one back at the apartment. The bathtub was quite large, and the shower curtains had green cartoon frogs all over it, as did everything else in the bathroom. Honestly, it kind of freaked me out.
I brushed my teeth and hair before grabbing my phone and opening the double doors, going downstairs.
Not surprisingly, all three of them were playing Xbox, with Michael and Calum on the couch and Luke on the floor in front of them.
All I did was walk in front of the tv for half a second and they were all yelling incoherent things, moving their heads to see around me.
I pressed my hand to my forehead, instantly feeling the headache that was coming as I walked into the kitchen. "Chill out, guys. It's just a game."
"Shh," they said in unison.
Grabbing a bottled water from the fridge, I returned to the living room and sat next to Luke on the floor, scrolling through my phone.
The only thing in my notifications were messages from Evan demanding that I come home. The later the messages got, the angrier he seemed to be getting. It ranged from "where are you?" to "come back home or i'll make you."
All I saw was gray and no blue as I scrolled up, and the last message sent was a couple hours ago. I wonder what he's doing right now.
A foot nudged the bottom of my back gently and I turned around to see Michael with his eyebrows raised in concern.
"You okay?," he mouthed.
I nodded, giving him a sheepish smile.
Suddenly Luke yelled out, as Calum cheered with his hands and controller in the air.
"Hah, screw you all. Calum reigns as champion of Halo once again," he taunted. Michael punched him in the shoulder and Calum cried out in pain, pouting. "What was that for?"
"Being a dick," he answered, getting up and strolling into the kitchen.
"It's not my fault you're a sore loser," Calum said, following Michael.
Luke turned to me. "How'd you sleep?"
"Fine. The bed was really comfy."
"Has he been texting you or tried calling you?"
I shook my head. "Nope," I lied.
"Cas, don't lie."
"I'm being serious, I swear. If He did text/call me I definitely would've told you."
"Okay fine I believe you. But tell me if he does," he finished. "So, dinner?," he asked, pulling me up.
"No thanks. I think I might just go back to bed. Thanks, though."
He nodded, walking backwards towards Michael and Calum. "Okay, then. Night."
"Tell the boys I said goodnight," I said, retreating up the carpeted stairs.
-The sound of the doorbell at 2 am woke me, and I'm assuming the whole house, up.
After they rang a second time, I slipped on my slippers and made my way halfway down the stairs before I heard Luke opening the door.
