"Luke, you know I have to go. We live 10 minutes away from each other it's not like I'm leaving the state."

"I know, but still," he grumbled, not making eye contact as he studied the steering wheel.

I sighed. "Would a hug make you feel better?"

He nodded, reaching over and pulling me into a tight embrace. I patted his back, trying to comfort him.

"Text me as soon as you get in, okay?," He asked, holding my shoulders.

"Okay, I promise. Tell the boys I said bye."

I climbed out of the car and walked up the walkway in front of the doors. Turning to wave goodbye, I saw he was already gone. Frowning, I opened the door and made way to the elevator, making sure to give a grateful thanks to the man at the front desk.

Using the room card I took with me, I unlocked the door and slowly stepped inside.

"Evan?"

Seeing his car outside, I was sure he had to be in here.

Deciding to investigate, in my own home, my shoe clad feet made light patting noises on the wood floors.

"Evan? Are you in here?," I called once again.

There was a loud clutter and Evan came barreling out from behind the hallway, surprising me so much I gave a small scream.

He engulfed me in a hug, picking me up then putting me back down. "I've missed you so much. Where have you been? Who were you with?," he questioned.

"I just needed some time to myself. I stayed at a friends house across town," I had the half-lie all ready. Yes, I did stay at a friends house, but it wasn't across town. Sneaky, I know.

"Okay, well, can you just tell me where you're going next time? I was worried sick."

I nodded, thinking that he had changed. He was nicer, despite the fact I was gone for like 3 or 4 days.

"How did you get here?"

"Oh, yeah my friend dropped me off." I didn't think he would ask that.

"Okay, well go unpack."

I walked quickly toward my room, feeling a heavy weight lift off my shoulders when I was out of his line of sight. I don't know what he'd do if he found out I lied.

After returning my clothes to the closet I sent Luke a quick text telling him I was okay, then went into the bathroom to put my makeup up.

I froze when I turned on the light at my reflection in the mirror.

Hurriedly shutting the door and locking it, I thrusted myself towards the mirror and turned my head.

There, right next to my face, was a shoulder length strand of gray hair. I had started Aging.

"Holy shit holy shit holy shit," I muttered, grabbing my phone with shaking hands and opening Luke's contact in Messages.
