"You know what I think?"
"What?"
"We should go over to Ashton's house. We haven't been there before, except at the party. It'd be best to know his place if he's gonna be with Luke."
The lie slipped out easy, not revealing that I actually had been at his house recently.
We were currently debating on what to do for the afternoon. The 6 us were placed in a circle on the living room floor.
In clockwise order it was: Luke, Ashton, Margo, Calum, Michael, and myself. I was seated in between Luke and Michael.
Ashton sent me a death glare and scowled. "I'm not sure. The place is real messy. We could just stay here since we're already over."
"Well, don't you have a swimming pool?," I countered.
"Yeah, so?" I could tell he was getting nervous.
"Why don't we all go swimming?"
There were sounds of agreement at the mention of it, making me smirk in his direction.
He was staring, jaw clenched, before breaking out into a smile. "Okay then, I'll head home and get ready, while you guys get ready, too. Let's meet up in an hour or so. Sound good?"
We nodded before breaking up, everyone stumbling over each other to run upstairs.
As I was behind Michael, Ashton called my name. "Cas, can I talk to you?"
Michael raised his eyebrows, looking at me. "Go up, Michael. I'll be there in a minute."
He turned back around and headed up, out of sight. I stood in front of Ashton. "Yes?"
"If Luke finds out tonight, I'll be telling Evan."
"What? That wasn't the fucking deal. The deal was if I tell him, you tell Evan. Not if he finds out, you tell Evan."
He crossed his arms, smirking. "Well I'm changing it up a bit."
"That's not fair. You promised."
"I didn't promise anything, Cassie."
I was shaking with rage now. It wasn't his right to do this to me. This wasn't the deal.
"Don't bring it out on me that I found a loophole around your twisted plan."
Ashton scoffed. "It's not like it was a good loophole."
"It must be if we're standing here right now arguing."
"Fine. The original deal still stands. But I swear to god-"
"-Cas? Are you coming?"
Michael stood, leaning over the railing and glancing between Ashton and I. He regained his posture.
"Yeah."
I walked away from Ashton, following Michael up the steps.
"What was that all I about?," he asked.
"Oh, nothing," I responded, pushing past him and heading into my room, locking the door behind me.
-We were all ready within an hour, Calum and Margo already gone since Margo needed her bathing suit.
That left Michael, Luke, and I alone in their car as we drove there, Michael in the passenger and I in the back.
"Cas, are you sure it was nothing?," Michael asked as he glanced in the rearview mirror.
"What's up?," Luke questioned.
"It looked like Ashton was threatening her."
"He wasn't," I said, a little too harshly. "We were just talking."
