"Woah, what? You and Calum are Soulmates?"
They both nodded, smiling like crazy.
Luke groaned, throwing himself backwards into the couch. "Great, now I'm the only one in this damn household that doesn't have anyone."
"What if you don't have a Soulmate and reign eternal?," I suggested.
He perked up at that, grinning. "You're right. Now I don't have anyone to hold me down. I should be grateful."
Margo frowned at him. "It's not that bad, you know. You finally find someone to spend the rest of your life with. It's like a weight is taken off your shoulders." She side glanced at the boy standing next to her.
Luke scoffed. "So?"
I lifted myself from next to him. "Don't get ahead of yourself, Blondie. When we're all dead and you're still 18, don't be contacting us through a Ouija Board just 'cause you're lonely. If I were you, I'd be trying to find someone now."
His eye's widened, staring at nothing in particular. "What if it's Ashton?," he whispered.
"Luke, I think you'd know that by now," Calum chuckled. He was obviously still deep in thought despite our attempts at comfort.
I rolled my eyes, turning around towards the stairs, still hearing them arguing about whether it was Ashton or not.
It's not that I didn't feel bad for Luke, but it kind of hurt that he had acted so nonchalant. Finding Michael could possibly be the best thing that's ever happened. And to make it even better, I could grow old with Margo, if we're still friends for the next 60 or so years. Great.
I opened the door to my room, finding Michael sitting on the bed, legs crossed underneath him. His head shot up when the door opened.
"Uh, hey?," I asked, walking over and sitting opposite of him.
"Hey," he grinned at me. "I have a question, and answer honestly."
"Okay, shoot."
He messed with the bracelets on his wrists nervously. "Would you maybe possibly sort of wanna go on a date with me tonight?"
I almost turned him down, but the smile on his face made me question my own decision. How could I make this boy sad?
"I don't know, Michael . ."
"Come on, please?"
"I have no money and I'd feel guilty letting you pay."
"I'm broke, too. I just get money from Calum," he shrugged.
"Well . . as long as it isn't your money, then yes, I will go on a date with you."
He was smiling ear to ear, pulling me in for a hug.
"Okay, so be ready by 8, and wear something nice. We're going somewhere fancy tonight."
I nodded as he pulled away, getting off my bed and slipping out.
It was 6, so I had 2 hours to get ready.
