Two months passed and I've been getting better every day. Life was pretty good, to be honest. There was no contact from Evan, or Ashton, and Michael and I were closer than ever.
There was a small bump in the road when I got so bad, I was admitted into the hospital. Practically everyone I'd ever come in contact with knew of my problems now, but I was only complaining a little bit.
It felt almost good to have so many people worry about you, but it was a large burden.
Luke of course turned into protective father; He monitored at least everything I did now, from making sure I ate all my food to listening to what I was doing in the bathroom. It was creepy as hell.
Margo was also finally paying some attention to me. She texted every once in awhile to see how I was doing. She rarely came over anymore and spent most of the week with Calum. I was happy he became her Soulmate.
Okay, now to fill you in on Michael and I. We were practically a couple already, but we never made it official. Part of me was waiting for the right time to ask, and part of me felt like he was waiting for the right time to ask.
Despite all the confusion and complications I was the happiest I'd been in a while.
Currently, the bright light shone in from the windows in the kitchen, blinding me from my place at the table.
Luke danced back and forth between the counter and anywhere they kept food, singing quietly to a song I didn't recognize while I watched him.
"Enjoying the view?," he asked sarcastically, glancing behind him at my stare.
"This is more amusing than anything. May I ask why you feel the need to skip around the kitchen whilst making breakfast? It's 11 am."
"So? Can't a guy be in a good mood for once? Jeez."
The door pushed open, an incredibly tired looking Michael walking in, now dyed pink hair disheveled. "Good morning," he yawned, taking a seat next to me.
"Did you get any sleep last night," I questioned, pushing the hair off his forehead.
"You should know considering we slept in the same bed."
Luke groaned. "Stop being cute. It's annoying." He spun around, pointing the spatula between us. "Also, Effy is coming over later, so behave."
"Damn. That rules out the super loud and rough sex me and Cassie were gonna have later."
I slapped his arm before turning to Luke. "Effy?"
"You know," he sighed, "my Soulmate. I thought you were caught up by now. Guess not."
"Oh, right. Whoops."
"You guys can hang out with us, if you want."
"I don't-"
"-Yeah," Michael interrupted, "sounds great."
"Awesome," Luke exclaimed, "It's like a double date!"
"If we went by that logic me and Cassie would be on a date all the time."
He turned around, switching off the oven and placing a large plate of pancakes on the table. "Enjoy this. It took me half an hour."
