I woke up to Luke screaming in my face.
Well, that's what it felt like anyway.
He was shaking my shoulders and yelling my name over and over.
"What's wrong with you?," I complained, sitting up and squinting at him.
He babbled, picking a strand of hair out of the mess on his head. It was gray. "I don't- What- How?"
"Oh my god. Do you know who it is?"
"No!"
"Okay, just chill. We can figure this out."
"How? I haven't been around anyone since we last went to that party!"
"Did you hook up with anyone?"
"No. Yes. I don't know. Shit"
I sighed, beginning to climb out of bed. "Call everyone in your contacts that was at the party. I'll get Margo to help, too."
He pulled his phone out, pacing back and forth, constantly tugging at the gray strand.
As I sent the text to Margo, Luke froze, eyes wide. "What? Seriously? U- uh yeah come over. You know the address, right? Okay, I'll text it to you. Bye. No, don't say you love me, shut up."
"You found them?," I asked, waiting for him to tell me.
He ran a hand through his hair. "Cassie, It's Ashton."
"Oh my god, Luke. Is he coming over?"
"Yeah, I'll uh, text him our address." He left the room.
Luke was destined to be gay.
A little while later, Ashton arrived, Calum and Michael looking very confused.
They retreated into the kitchen, while the 3 of us stayed in the living room, trying to eavesdrop.
"What's he doing here?," Calum whispered.
"Ashton thinks him and Luke are Soulmates," I whispered back.
"Shut up," Michael shushed us.
We could hear faint talking, not enough to make out more than a couple words, though.
They walked out, looking really freaking awkward.
"Okay," Luke sighed, "so me and Ashton are Soulmates, I guess."
We stared at them. "Are you sure?," I questioned.
"Yes, we're sure, Cassie," Ashton snapped, crossing his arms, "are you okay with that?"
"Yes, I am. Are you?"
He nodded, clearly gritting his teeth.
"Great. Now that we're in agreement, we need to go upstairs," Luke said, grabbing Ashton's arm and pulling him.
Ashton glanced back at me before disappearing behind the wall.
"I don't trust him," Michael immediately said.
"Me either," Calum agreed.
I rolled my eyes. "Don't jump to conclusions. Maybe they're actually meant to be together."
"Cas, how many times have you seen a boy have a boy soulmate that isn't gay?"
I bit my lip. "You're right."
"We should investigate," Calum suggested.
"Or we could wait for Ashton to screw up himself. It's more fun that way."
